Abstract:
The book authored by Mariblanca Barón deals with issues concerning the construction of the Itaipú mega-project, whose treaty was signed under Alfredo Stroessner's dictatorship signed on April 26, 1973. There are undoubted values of the Itaipu hydroelectric plant compared to other forms of energy production, there are also serious blood stains, discrimination of expulsion, violence and death. Thirty-six indigenous communities of the ava guaraní or guaraní ethnic groups of Paraná have disappeared from their ancestral territories occupied for millennia
