Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank Group, explained that the MENA Concessional Financing Facility, an innovative approach to addressing the Syrian refugee crisis, has been re-envisioned as a Global Facility to address displacement crises in any middle-income country in the world. He spoke about the importance of education, as the key for economic growth, competitiveness, and social cohesion. It is also the foundation for innovation and development, and opens the way for lifelong opportunities, which are essential for long-term peace and stability. In our rapidly changing world, the nexus of business, government, and education will be critical to build thriving societies.
