Abstract:
Ethnobotanical research was conducted at Nyamakombola, a village of the Lega slash-and-burn agriculturalists, located in the tropical rain forest of northern Legaland, in 1989. Two hundred fifty-eight plants were collected along with ethnobotanical information. Scientific names, vernacular names, botanical observations, uses and name etymology were identified for the collected plants. This is the second step in an ethnobotanical survey of the Lega, started in 1988 in Zone de Mwenga, the southeastern part of the Legaland. (Verlagsangabe)
