    Note: The Gwari are a large tribe scattered over Benue, Niger, Zaria and Kabba Provinces, but this booklet is only concerned with two groups of Gwari living in Abuja Emirate: the Gwarin-Genge and the Gwarin-Yamma (the Gwari of the West). The Gade tribe lives in the south-east of Abuja Emirate and most of the Koro tribe are to be found in Benue, Niger and Zaria Provinces.
