Note: "Much has been written about theatre's capacity to create social change. Theatre of Good Intentions: Challenges and Hopes for Theatre and Social Change, however, looks at some of the reasons why achieving such goals is hard; examining what theatre can and can't do. It critiques the limitations of theatre in the creation of social change, in order to engage in a productive discussion of theatre's strengths - and weaknesses - and theatre artists' opportunities to make change in an unjust world. This book focuses on theatre's impact on both participants and spectators, examining a wide range of contemporary applied and political theatre case studies, engaging with some of the most common forms of theatre used towards the goals of social change, including Theatre of the Oppressed, professional political theatre in performance, community-based theatre, prison theatre, and classroom drama. Theatre of Good Intentions constructs an argument advocating for artists and students to think strategically about the limitations and opportunities of theatre as a medium of social change"-- Provided by publisher. , Includes bibliographical references and index

Abstract: Katherine Tonkiss offers a succinct account of constitutional patriotism theory, specifically arguing that it involves a commitment to free migration. She draws on qualitative research to explore the implications of this claim for the dynamics of post-national identity and belonging in local communities, What does post-national identity mean for the control of migration? Katherine Tonkiss engages with the post-national theory of 'constitutional patriotism' and argues in favour of both post-national identity and relaxed migration controls. She explores the implications of such liberalised migration for the dynamics of identity and belonging in local communities, drawing on qualitative research on Eastern European migration to the UK. Illustrated with rich case study material, this book offers a novel contribution to the post-nationalism literature
Abstract: 'This is an important contribution to the debate on national and post-national belonging. It contains not only a sophisticated engagement with the literature on liberal nationalism and constitutional patriotism, but also - and this is unfortunately still rare in political theory - an illuminating empirical case study. The empirical work notably strengthens the author's argument for a constitutional patriotism built from the local ground up.' - Jan-Werner Muller, Princeton University, USA 'Katherine Tonkiss pushes the constitutional patriotism discourse in a novel and important direction. Not only does she refine the theory and help us think through some potentially very important means of promoting democratic solidarity by non-national means, but she persuasively argues that a commitment to constitutional patriotism will imply a commitment to much freer movement across borders. This leads, she shows, to a seeming paradox, where a rejection of strong national identification can provoke the activation or reinforcement of the same in migrant-receiving communities. Tonkiss' book is essential reading for anyone interested in issues of citizenship, migration, national belonging, and possible non-nationalistic bonds of solidarity.' - Luis Cabrera, University of Birmingham, UK 'This book demonstrates the importance and the limits of theories of constitutional patriotism and attempts to address these limits through a highly innovative combination of normative political theory and qualitative research. All those interested in multiculturalism, nations and nationalism, the ethics of immigration need to read it.' - Varun Uberoi, Brunel University, UK

Abstract: This book offers a unique insight into the moral politics behind human trafficking policy in Australia and the USA, including rare interviews with key political actors, and a critical account of Congressional and Parliamentary hearings, This book offers a unique insight into the moral politics behind the making of human trafficking policy in Australia and the United States of America. As governments around the world rush to meet their international obligations to combat human trafficking, a heated debate has emerged over the rights, wrongs, and harms of prostitution, and its relationship to sex trafficking. The Politics of Sex Trafficking identifies and challenges intrinsic notions of moral harm that have pervaded trafficking discourse and resulted in a distinctly anti-prostitution agenda in trafficking policy in recent decades. Including rare interviews with key political actors, this book charts the competing perspectives of feminist, faith-based, and sex-worker activists, and their efforts to influence policy-makers. This critical account of the creation of anti-trafficking policy challenges the sex trafficking narrative dominant in US Congressional and Australian Parliamentary hearings, and demonstrates the power of a moral politics in shaping policy. This book will appeal to academics across the fields of criminology, criminal justice, law, human rights and gender studies, as well as policy-makers
Abstract: "This book is refreshing in its attempt to think through issues of harm, morality, prostitution and trafficking but to do so with a firm focus on politics and policies and in a way that is grounded in a range of different empirical data. For this reader, the two stand out strengths of the book are the skilful handling of what is now a very large literature on the politics of prostitution and the way this is integrated within the actual analysis. The book raises some important questions about how 'the harms' of prostitution and sex trafficking are constituted by the way it links narrative analysis of sex trafficking with the politics of measuring 'the problem' and the political solution enacted. Accessible and thought-provoking, this book has something in it for everyone." - Jo Phoenix, University of Durham, UK "By critically evaluating the dominant anti-trafficking paradigm and prevailing policies based on it, The Politics of Sex Trafficking shows how ideological interests and unproven claims about the 'intrinsic' harms of prostitution have been fused with sex trafficking and have shaped public policies. O'Brien, Hayes and Carpenter present an alternative perspective-one that centers on coercion and deception in the migration process and labor arena instead of the practice of sexual commerce itself-as a superior framework for policy makers interested in combating genuine cases of abuse. The book is a major contribution to our understanding of the debate surrounding human trafficking." - Ronald Weitzer, George Washington University, USA

Abstract: Drawing on recent feminist discussions, this collection critically reassesses ideas about agency, exploring the relationship between agency and coercion in greater depth and across a range of disciplinary perspectives and ethical contexts, This collection aims to think critically about agency and explore the relationship between agency and coercion in greater depth. In academic, activist, and policy circles alike, feminist work has re-focused attention onto women as agents rather than as passive victims of overwhelming structures of male institutional power, or less capable of exercising agency by virtue of their class, race, gender or culture. These broadly positive moves are not without risks. Most notably, they can encourage a triumphalist disregard for constraints through an exclusive emphasis on 'discovering' agency even in the least favourable situations, thereby obscuring domination, inequality, and subordination. So how does bringing agency and coercion into closer interplay impact our understanding of the two? How might the stories of feminist agency change if we locate agency and coercion on the same intellectual frame? What would it mean to disrupt the existing constellation of ideas accompanying agency so as to include coercion, subordination and oppression alongside ideas of freedom, autonomy, and independence? How do we theoretically negotiate agency and coercion in conditions of deep inequality? This collection thinks through these questions in a range of regional, intellectual, ethical and political contexts

Abstract: This book explores the politics borne of consumption through the case of coffee activism and ethical consumption. It analyses the agencies, structures, repertoires and technologies of promotion and participation in the politics of fair trade consumption through an exploration of the relationship between activism and consumption, In a politically uncertain and distrusted world, citizens appear to be seeking political expression in their everyday lives and quite prominently in their consumption practices. In advanced consumer societies, the politics of consumption have come to the centre stage. This book elaborates on the grounded perceptions, practices and problematizations of the equation of political action and market action. It presents the opportunities and hindrances of alternative forms of partaking in civic life by exploring how coffee activism presents a fruitful opportunity for citizens to participate in political life, how cultural citizenship can offer insights into the operation of everyday politics and how neoliberal narratives are framing discourses of coffee activism. The politics behind products can illuminate global tensions and engage citizens in social justice, but at the same time can confine civic action in the marketplace and anesthetise political action

Abstract: This book examines the meanings and significance of the UK Gender Recognition Act within the context of broader social, cultural, legal, political, theoretical and policy shifts concerning gender and sexual diversity, and addresses current debates about equality and diversity, citizenship and recognition across a range of disciplines, The question of 'recognition' motivates a range of contemporary social movements and forms the backdrop to legal and policy change, and theoretical and political debate. This timely book draws on original research to examine the meanings and significance of, and contestations around, recognition in relation to the aptly named UK 'Gender Recognition Act'. Gender Diversity, Recognition and Citizenship: Towards a Politics of Difference considers changing UK law and policy around gender diversity within the context of broader social, cultural, legal, political, theoretical, and policy shifts concerning gender and sexuality. In bringing together a wide range of critical interdisciplinary perspectives, and by addressing key debates about inclusion, equality, diversity, human rights and citizenship, the book examines gaps between law and policy, and everyday experiences and understandings of social justice. Through a critical engagement with a politics of recognition, Gender Diversity, Recognition and Citizenship instates the value of a 'politics of difference'

Abstract: This volume addresses the relationship between childbearing, paid work and work-life balance policies across Europe in the 21st century, illuminating the uncertainty and risk related to insecure labour force attachment, the incoherence of women's and men's access to education and employment and the unequal share of domestic responsibilities, This volume addresses the tensions between work and welfare with respect to fertility. Focusing on childbearing choices (intentions, desires) as influential predictors of future fertility, the contributors examine the importance of labour force attachment on young women's fertility plans in the context of increased labour market flexibility and differences in work-life balance policies across Europe in the early 21st century. Both high- and low-fertility societies of different welfare regimes are studied, illuminating processes of uncertainty and risk related to insecure labour force attachment and the incoherence effect in terms of women's and men's equal access to education and employment but unequal share of domestic responsibilities, constraining fertility. The synthesis of the findings shows how childbearing choices in relation to uncertainty, risk and incoherence offer a lens for understanding the capabilities of families to have and care for children in contemporary Europe. This volume contributes to the conceptual development of further research on the complex relationship between fertility, paid work and work-life balance policies

Abstract: An Age of Limits outlines a new social theory for understanding contemporary society. Providing an analysis of why political, economic and cultural powers face constraints across the global North and beyond, this bold book argues that forces which address current challenges must confront the limits of the interplay between dominant institutions, In this ambitious and bold book, Ralph Schroeder develops a new social theory centred on the notion of limits. The current era, from the 1970s onwards, has seen a departure from the three defining trends of the modern age: the struggle for social citizenship rights, the disembedding of markets, and the transformation of nature. Based on a comparative-historical analysis, the book argues that there are now similar constraints on social development throughout the global North and beyond. These constraints include the waning of conflicts driving the extension and deepening of rights, the instability of increasing financialization, and the progressive lack of control over the exploitation of natural resources. The key challenge for social theory therefore lies in identifying the cleavages between the dominant political, economic and cultural powers, and countervailing forces that can potentially overcome them. The book explores several advanced Western democracies in depth, as well as China and India. It will fundamentally challenge our theoretical understanding of contemporary societies and their dynamics
Abstract: 'The reader has come to expect brilliant sociological analysis from Ralph Schroeder, and his latest book is no exception. The scope is broad and what the author promises - and also delivers! - is a theory of modern society, centered on comparative-historical analysis. Recommended reading not only for sociologists, political scientists, and economists, but also for general readers who want to experience what really good social science is like.' - Richard Swedberg, Professor of Sociology, Cornell University, USA

Abstract: When conflict, competing identities, and segregation collide; Identity, Segregation and Peace-building in Northern Ireland explores the implications for peace-building in Northern Ireland, and across the globe, Having experienced over 30 years of violent conflict, Northern Ireland acts as an interesting case study in which to examine the causes and consequences of political violence. At the same time this society provides a number of important peace-building lessons for other conflicted societies across the globe. Whilst there are a plethora of books examining the Northern Ireland 'problem', Identity, segregation and peace-building in Northern Ireland stands out from the crowd as being succinct and offering a unique social psychological perspective. It provides an overview of some of the key issues relating to the conflict and its maintenance along with a list of further recommended reading for those interested in delving further. This is an accessible book for anyone interested in understanding more about the conflict in Northern Ireland, or for those who are interested in conflict, identity and peace-building more generally

Abstract: Across European societies, pluralism is experienced in new and challenging ways. Our understanding of what it means for societies to be accepting of diversity has to therefore be revisited. This volume seeks to meet this challenge with perspectives that consider new dynamics towards tolerance, intolerance and respect, With the ethnic, cultural and religious diversity that is a feature of European societies today, pluralism is experienced in new and challenging ways. In many places, an urban cosmopolitan mix sits side by side with group-based expressions of faith and culture. The debate about the types of 'acceptance' that these situations require tend to follow new patterns. Increasing openness and respect for some may rest upon a reinforced intolerance towards others. This complicates and challenges our understanding of what it means for societies to be accepting, tolerant or respectful of cultural diversity in its various forms. This volume seeks to meet this challenge with perspectives that consider new dynamics towards tolerance, intolerance and respect

Abstract: Using in-depth interviews, this book explores women employed in the Indian IT industry and highlights the gender specific and culturally specific consequences of reflexive modernity in neo-liberal India, This book examines how middle class women in India engage with divergent cultural discourses of respectability and individualism to make sense of their work and family lives. Based on in-depth interviews amongst women employed in the Indian IT industry, it argues that women attempt to conform to the individualist values of reflexive modernity by drawing on collective bonds within their families. It contends that the expansion of personal and professional choices does not always result in greater individualization but increases women's sense of responsibility for the consequences of their choices. As a result women's narratives of self are collective rather than individual projects, which are created in relationship with others. In this manner the book highlights the gender specific and culturally specific consequences of reflexive modernity in neo-liberal India
Abstract: "This volume is a welcome addition to the flourishing feminist literature by non-Western scholars that has, for decades, focused on the specificities of experiences of women living in different societies and celebrating the different strategies adopted by them. The process of adapting, adopting and changing concepts of modernity in the case of women in the IT industry has been meticulously analysed and contextualised by Belliappa providing a striking and valuable dimension to the growing body of work." - Professor the Baroness Haleh Afshar, OBE, University of York, UK "In this book Jyothsna Belliappa provides a finely nuanced and reflective study of the middle class Indian woman. Her emphasis on the influence of the family on the lives of women through her rich and textured analysis, brings home to us the idea that modernity in India is not an individual project, and is constituted in social and cultural contexts. This book offers a unique critique of 'reflexive modernity' from the vantage point of being Indian, middle class and woman in Bangalore, the epitome of a changing, modern India." - Meenakshi Thapan, Professor of Sociology, Delhi School of Economics, India

Abstract: This edited collection from international leading scholars considers the long overlooked concept of hospitality in the field of international relations and political theory. Hospitality provides a new framework for understanding many of the challenges in world politics today, from the search for peaceable relations between states, to asylum and refugee crises, to the policy of settler societies towards indigenous peoples. Reflection on hospitality also helps to further our understanding of the place of the stranger, specifically the welcome of the stranger, in a field that has been too willing to either discount moral obligations to foreigners or to reduce the foreigner to that known entity: the future fellow citizen of the world. Contributors include: Garrett Wallace Brown (University of Sheffield, UK), Dan Bulley (Queen's University Belfast, Ireland), Georg Cavallar (University of Vienna, Austria), Renee Jeffery (Australian National University, Australia), Jimmy Casas Klausen (University of Wisconsin, USA), Nicholas Onuf (Florida International University, USA), Haig Patapan (Griffith University, Australia) and Erin K. Abstract: This book emerged from the online project 'A Manifesto for Media Education' and takes forward its starting points by asking some of the original contributors to expand upon their view of the purpose of media education and to support their perspective with accounts of practice. Unlike other books, which focus on a particular sector or offer a guide to teaching for particular exam specifications, this book seeks to widen the debate and offers perspectives on where media education has been and where it might be going. With chapters from leading figures in the field, including David Buckingham and

Abstract: "As the Asia-Pacific region develops in economic strength and influence in the twenty-first century, a deeper understanding of the differences and commonalities among the countries of this region is needed. Australia and Malaysia share the Asia-Pacific region with powerful neighbours such as China and Indonesia, as well as small fledgling democracies such as Timor Leste. This timely volume compares these two societies on key issues and tensions relating to globalization and social transformation, including foreign policy and national security; multiculturalism and citizenship; the middle class; global governance; migrants, human rights and international students. The contributors explore the contested and lively debates that emerge through the expanded mobility of ideas and people in this so-called 'Asian Century'"--

Abstract: A norm of special treatment for LDCs, created by the UN, has spread to various international organisations including the WTO. Within the WTO evidence of the institutionalization of the norm can be found both in the agreements and legal documents and the way in which the LDCs have been treated by other states. Helen Hawthorne investigates how norms impact on negotiations in international organisations. She shows that few studies of international organisations focus on the role of the weaker states in the organization, the majority focus either on the major states or the emerging economies. By ignoring the role of the poorer, weaker states in the GATT/WTO we are ignoring the history of these states in the organisation and do not get a true picture of the organization, how it operates in relation to them and their impact on the organisation

Abstract: Table of Contents Foreword 1. Introduction 2. Integration 3. Foundational Principles 4. Voluntary Separation 5. Religious Separation 6. Cultural Separation 7. Social Class Separation Afterword
Abstract: Merry argues that most voluntary separation experiments in education are not driven by a sense of racial, cultural or religious superiority. Rather, they are driven among other things by a desire for quality education, not to mention community membership and self respect, There is much evidence to suggest that segregation creates and sustains inequality, and undermines the social trust necessary for shared citizenship. Yet in this highly original study the idea that integration is the only or even the best remedy for these ills is forthrightly challenged. Carefully framing his analysis using the political principles of liberty, equality and citizenship, and attentive to the contextual realities for minority groups on both sides of the Atlantic, Michael Merry challenges many of our most cherished and time-honored beliefs in integration. Defending a circumscribed notion of 'voluntary separation', Merry argues that for many stigmatized groups it is not 'integration' but rather an imaginative, pragmatic and organized response to the terms of one's segregated experience that may facilitate possibilities to pursue important forms of equality and to cultivate civic virtues that promote the good of one's community
Abstract: "This book represents a highly original contribution to one of the most incendiary debates on education in our times, the voluntary separation of 'stigmatized groups' versus their compulsory 'integration' within pluralist liberal democracies. Supported and sustained by both extensive empirical evidence and context-sensitive moral theory, Merry impugns integration on the one hand as a liberal-democratic requirement and as an effective - or even desirable - policy on the other. His argument shows that whatever may be true for 'ideal worlds', imposed mixing in the real world often is morally indefensible and socially and politically counterproductive. A truly multidisciplinary approach combining moral philosophy, political theory, social science (particularly sociology and social psychology) and educational policy, Equality, Citizenship, and Segregation persuasively challenges the persistent myth of integration and shows why separation may be a more fruitful strategy, particularly for some of society's more vulnerable members. I highly recommend it." - Veit Bader, Professor Emeritus, Sociology and Political Theory, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands "Many people believe that integration is an attractive societal goal in racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse democratic societies. Michael S. Merry's Equality, Citizenship, and Segregation shakes our faith in this view by arguing that voluntary separation is a better way to foster civic virtue and to secure self-respect for stigmatized minorities. The provocative upshot is that achieving better democracies requires paying more attention to the social attachments that divide us rather than to what we share in common. Merry's argument acknowledges the negative effects that often coincide with segregation, such as crime, diminished social capital, low school quality, and high unemployment, but questions whether greater integration is necessary to overcome them. This volume is a must-read for political philosophers, political theorists, law and policy makers, and indeed everyone who is concerned with the future of democracy and how it can flourish in increasingly diverse societies with open borders where substantive equality remains an aspiration, rather than a reality, for the most vulnerable minorities." - Derrick Darby, Professor, Philosophy, University of Kansas, USA, Author, Rights, Race, and Recognition "In this insightful and eloquent book, Merry outlines the conditions under which 'voluntary separation' can afford equality, citizenship and opportunity to minority and stigmatised groups. No apologist for segregation nor dogmatically opposed to policies of integration, Merry is nonetheless alert to the limits of wishful thinking and of unintentionally denigrating those who act to reclaim and transform their own segregated experiences. It is a book that deserves to be carefully read and widely debated." - Richard Harris, School of Geographical Sciences and Centre for Market and Public Organisation, University of Bristol, UK

Abstract: After the credit crisis, supervisors enacted a range of financial reforms. In particular, they radically changed the nature of the OTC derivatives market via a number of measures, notably mandatory central clearing. This book discusses the market before the crisis, explains what central clearing is, and outlines the consequences of the new rules
Abstract: The OTC derivatives market has been hit by a massive wave of regulatory change. Capital and margin requirements have increased, trade reporting has been mandated, and execution mechanisms are evolving. Most of all, central clearing is being imposed for many transactions. OTC Derivatives: Bilateral Trading and Central Clearing explains the new rules and the new models. It discusses the traditional bilateral market, then sets out how this will change due to mandatory central clearing and the new ways in which OTC derivatives will have to be traded, reported, and processed. Abstract: Both Taiwan and China are extremely populous nations that, due to population pressures and continuing high growth levels, have experienced challenges in sustainable development. Hsu illustrates Taiwan's path toward sustainable development and contrasts it to that of China, suggesting ways in which Taiwan can help China implement its environmental and social policies, and in which China might help Taiwan continue its path toward sustainable environmental and social policies. She explains that although Taiwan is a small compared to China, some aspects of its development model can (and should) be scaled up for larger countries. The importance of regulation enforcement is clear regarding Taiwan's environmental protection program, as is the promotion of small and medium sized enterprises in promoting income and social equality. Similarly, China's experimental methodology - using small areas to explore different ways of living or different technologies - can be useful in Taiwan. In Lessons in Sustainable Development, Hsu examines China and Taiwan in terms of inequality and environmental issues

Abstract: "Big Data in History" introduces a project to create a world-historical archive that will trace the last four centuries of historical dynamics and change. The archive will link research on social, economic, and political affairs, plus health and climate, for societies throughout the world. The care, detail, and advanced technology that go into building such an archive are outlined in this book, and the benefits of gathering and disseminating data from our long history are clearly mapped out. Chapters address the archive's overall plan, how to interpret the past through a global archive, how to organize historical research on five continents, and the missions of gathering widespread records, linking local data into global patterns, and exploring the results. The concluding chapters summarize project plans and compare it with two major and successful projects in worldwide data: the modelling of climate and documenting the human genome

Abstract: This collection explores how the dominant risk agenda is being embedded across welfare policy and practice contexts in order to redefine social problems and those who experience them. Identities of 'risky' or 'safe', 'responsible' or 'irresponsible' are being increasingly applied, not only to everyday life but also to professional practice, In this cutting edge collection authors examine risk thinking in a range of policy and practice contexts, including special needs education, digital exclusion, domestic violence and abuse, child protection and youth work. Four key interlinking themes emerge from the chapters. The first is how, within a neoliberal context, risk agendas can be used to justify and normalise the rationing and targeting of services. The second theme shows how the use of such agendas can in themselves redefine what is constituted as social problems, and how they are understood and responded to. Thirdly, welfare practice itself is being re-structured and re-theorised to adapt and conform to the new definitions and understandings that risk thinking has brought about. Finally, the fourth theme is how the use of risk as a negative organising discourse is not inevitable but, in different contexts, can create positive outcomes for service users, practitioners and society

Abstract: "How are responses to urban policy challenges affected by new ideas about governance? How can we explain the governance transformations that result? And what are the consequences for democracy? This wide-ranging study of three European cities - Birmingham, Copenhagen and Rotterdam - shows how hybrid forms of governance emerge from the tensions between new visions and past legacies, and existing institutional arrangements and powerful actors. Hybrid governance includes public-private partnerships, stakeholders boards, and multi-actor forums operating at arm's length to institutions of representative democracy. Offering detailed studies of migration and neighbourhood policy, as well as a novel Q methodology analysis of public administrators' views on democracy, the book explores how actors generate new practices, shows how these develop, and evaluates the democratic implications. The book concludes that hybrid governance is both widespread and diverse, is spatially and policy specific and that actors - public managers, politicians and the public - contribute to hybrid designs in ways that promote and challenge democratic conventions."--Publisher's website

Abstract: "Contemporary international migration makes border controls, bounded citizenship, and sovereign jurisdictions appear increasingly outdated. These policy tools are poor responses to a world characterized by cross-border mobility, transnational interconnections and global diaspora. Are there viable alternatives to this system of territorial and exclusive states? This book takes a historical trajectory, exploring governments' use of different territorial strategies to manage migration at specific moments during the evolution of the international system, from centralization in Renaissance Italy and expansion under the British Empire to the integration of the European Union. Vigneswaran shows how under each of these regimes, political thinkers and rulers draw upon a 'mental map' - a specific way of imagining political space - to devise their systems of jurisdiction, belonging and immigration control. Using evidence of territorial variation and reform, this book looks to the future of migration regimes beyond the territorially exclusive state. "--

Abstract: "Youth Ethnic and National Identity in Bosnia and Herzegovina offers a unique insight into the ethnic relations of contemporary Bosnia and Herzegovina by providing a wealth of new primary data on the Bosnian-Herzegovinian youth attitudes. The study utilizes both quantitative and qualitative research techniques such as large scale surveys, focus groups, interviews and discourse analysis among others. The data are interpreted in accordance with the theoretical models drawn from different academic disciplines including social psychology, cultural studies, linguistics, sociology, anthropology and social and political theory. In exploring the social context of living in post-conflict societies such as Bosnia and Herzegovina and the social and psychological research on the phenomenon of ethnicity, this book reveals a society of sharp, constitution-embedded ethnic divisions, which are maintained through different aspects of social and individual lives; by being politicized, one's ethnicity also became a relevant point of reference in everyday life, focusing people's lives on ethno-driven cognition, emotions, and behaviour. Furthermore, through the study of ethnic identity of youth in Bosnia-Herzegovina, this book analyzes how ethnic identity is constructed through social relations, communication, social perception, and political attitudes among young people"..
