Abstract: While many books provide guidance to the construction of theory, the process of theorizing itself has been addressed far less. The aim of this book is to encourage researchers to reflect upon their subjective theorizing practices and to engage in dialogue about theorizing in organization studies. Drawing on interviews with eight key figures in the field, this book provides guidance for how to theorize, and how to do so well, using the key tools of the theorizers. Providing rich insights, these interviews with Professors David Boje, Barbara Czarniawska, Kenneth Gergen, Tor Hernes, Geert Hofstede, Edgar Schein, Andrew Van de Ven and Karl Weick give an opportunity to learn from some of the most successful theorists in the field of organization studies. By addressing aspects of theorizing which seek to make it a personal and meaningful endeavour, this book goes beyond the sole aim of getting published and encourages readers to develop their own unique way of theorizing. This book will be an invaluable tool for graduate researchers and scholars looking to refine their theorizing practices in order to produce outstanding theoretical work. Its insights will also be of use to anyone seeking to breathe new life into their work, with its insightful commentary on the practices of successful theorists

Abstract: The Neuroscience of Organizational Behavior establishes the scientific foundations of organizational neuroscience, a nascent discipline that explores the neural correlates of human behavior in organizations. This timely and insightful book draws from several disciplines including the organizational sciences, neuroeconomics, cognitive psychology, social cognitive neuroscience and neuroscience to review the neuroscientific methods and techniques that organizational scholars can use to study the neural basis of organizational behavior. The topics discussed include the neural foundations of decision-making, leadership, fairness, trust and cooperation, emotions, ethics and morality, unconscious bias and diversity in the workplace. Organizational neuroscience can provide valuable insights for organizational scholars to develop new theories, refine existing theories, ask new questions or reformulate old questions.^This book will not only serve as a resource for scholars and graduate students studying organizational behavior, it could also provide guidelines to managers in helping them to better understand and manage employees and organizations. Abstract: Barbara Czarniawska is a distinguished scholar and author in the field of organization. Drawing on her extensive knowledge she has gathered together other leading experts to apply organization theory to yet another relevant field of practice - risk management. There are no prescriptions for organizing in the face of risk and threat, but the accumulating experience shows that a well-rehearsed improvisation brings much better results than planning and construction of formal organizations. This timely book contains cases of risk and threat where the former strategy succeeds and the latter fails. The wealth of cases presented includes the Marburg virus outbreak in Angola, bird flu, health insurance after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and the Tjörn bridge catastrophe in Sweden. Graduate and postgraduate students in business and management schools, as well as academics teaching courses in risk management across disciplines should not be without this book. Risk management specialists will also find this book invaluable
