Kurzfassung: Create your own custom projects with Raspberry Pi and Arduino About This Video Use Raspberry Pi as the "brain" and Arduino as the "muscles" of your application Practice with nine activities and one big final project Develop an engineering mindset when solving problems In Detail Working only with Raspberry Pi, or only with Arduino, is already nice: you can do a lot of projects. But sometimes, this is not enough. You will need to combine the strength of both boards: the power of software with Raspberry Pi (brain) and the closeness to hardware with Arduino (muscles). In this course, we will start with the setup and then progress through four different parts. First, you will learn how to communicate with Serial between Raspberry Pi and Arduino. Then, learn how to build the Arduino circuit for the project, one component at a time. Control Arduino components from the Raspberry Pi. Next, we will explore new Raspberry Pi functionalities such as a camera and Telegram bot then you will learn how to control the camera from the Arduino and send commands to Arduino from a Telegram chat. In the last section, we will work on building a complete Intercom project using Serial, Telegram Bot, Pi Camera, and more. By the end of this course, you will be able to create your own custom projects with Raspberry Pi and Arduino. Audience This course is intended for creators of Arduino and/or Raspberry Pi who wish to combine the two boards for more exciting and challenging projects, or for anybody interested in developing serious robotics or home automation projects using Arduino and Raspberry Pi. As we won't cover the fundamentals of either Python or C++ programming, this course is not suitable for total beginners. Having a solid understanding of both Arduino and Raspberry Pi will definitely help you get started; however, you don't need to be an expert.

Kurzfassung: There's a pressing need for tools and workflows that meet data scientists where they are. This is also a serious business need: how to enable an organization of data scientists, who aren't software engineers by training, to build and deploy end-to-end machine learning workflows and applications independently. The new category of tools, frameworks, and processes that fill this need is often called MLOps. In this edition of Radar Talks, Hugo Bowne-Anderson explains why machine learning applications need special treatment in the first place and why we can't just fold them into existing DevOps best practices. You'll also explore what a modern technology stack for streamlined ML processes looks like and discover how you can start applying the stack in practice today. Recorded on April 5, 2022. See the original event page for resources for further learning or watch recordings of other past events. The O'Reilly Radar Talks series brings you expert opinions on emerging topics through hour-long interactive events. In conversation with some of the industry's top minds, you'll look at the early signals indicating significant trends and new technologies that will shape the future--and discover how to begin forging these technologies now. Share your own predictions and ask your questions while gaining insight into our experts' unique outlooks for the future. Kurzfassung: Software development is full of uncertainty. And as a services company, Bounteous has to balance many challenges around that lack of certainty: clients want to be able to make changes, but they still want predictability on time and costs. In the earlier days of its growth, the company struggled with this balance. After considering different methodologies to help address these pain points, Bounteous opted to use Agile because the principles behind it would help the organization embrace a more nimble mindset. But evolving an Agile approach to support this at scale across numerous clients while providing enough flexibility to adapt to specific client situations created several challenges--an experience that really highlights the general problems companies may have in adopting Agile. Join us for this Case Study with Bounteous CTO Seth Dobbs to learn how Bounteous adopted Agile to enable flexibility for its customers while balancing the needs for transparency and predictability across the organization. You'll hear about the roadblocks the company encountered (and how it overcame them) and get insight into how executive support, organizational structure, and team commitment contributed to developing a successful Agile approach. Kurzfassung: At Honeycomb, customers send lots of data and then compose complex, ad hoc queries. Most are simple, some are not, and some are really not. The load is complex, spontaneous, and urgent, and it would have been prohibitively expensive to size a server cluster to handle big queries quickly. So Honeycomb took a different approach: farm the work out to AWS Lambda, Amazon's serverless offering. In this model, Lambda becomes an on-demand accelerator for Honeycomb's always-on servers. The benefits are immense, improving response times by an order of magnitude. But the challenges are numerous and often unexpected. Join us for this Case Study with Honeycomb developer advocate Jessica Kerr to learn how Honeycomb approached the problem of handling its clients' queries with Lambda. You'll learn the benefits and constraints of the serverless-as-accelerator model and get practical advice based on Honeycomb's own hard-earned experience. Recorded on April 26, 2022. Kurzfassung: Hobson and his colleagues try to figure out how to train word embeddings from scratch using the WikiText2 dataset in PyTorch. The WikiText2 dataset contains redacted words, but they were unable to find the "labels" that reveal the words masked with the symbol ``. If you try to use the `Wikipedia` package to retrieve Wikipedia pages directly, you may hit the `suggest` bug. There are more than 100 unanswered issues on the project, and the maintainer has pushed any changes for many years. The Tangible AI fork on GitLab fixes this search suggestion bug so we could easily crawl Wikipedia. Unfortunately, the Wikipedia-API package is not very useful for searching and crawling Wikipedia to retrieve text.

However, much of what’s discussed publicly is misinformation and scare tactics. Join expert Amanda Berlin to learn the most effective steps you can take to protect your organization from the vast majority of threats with defensive mitigation and monitoring. Through use cases such as ransomware, data exfiltration, and lateral movement, you’ll see how to improve the standard of defense at each level, then discover step-by-step what you can accurately cover using the kill chain by working through use cases that outline the specifics of attacks. You'll also gain hands-on experience through tabletop exercises and drills to strengthen your understanding. Much of what’s covered will be hands-on walk-throughs in a Microsoft Windows environment. Windows domains are the most popular target for attackers as they’re frequently the most insecurely configured.

Kurzfassung: Be a part of the learning community to filter JSON data with ease. The Jq command is built around filters that are used to find and print only the required data from a JSON file. About This Video Highly practical and comes bundled with all the resource files including PPT files End-to-end course on Jq command with the help of live examples for an in-depth understanding Beginner's level guide to explain Jq command using Bash Shell Scripts with detailed explanation In Detail Nowadays, DevOps automation is more into REST API usage, and REST API response is JSON. So, to implement bash shell scripts using REST APIs, you must know how to parse the response of REST API (that is, parse JSON data). Jq is a program developed to filter JSON data. You can consider Jq like sed, awk, or grep program but designed specifically for filtering JSON data. Jq supports filters, conditions, operators, and other language features. While the creation and understanding of JSON data are effortless due to its human-readable format, JSON data parsing is still a very complicated task to achieve if done manually. Instead, you can use programs like Jq to parse JSON data in minutes. In this course, you will see the usage of the Jq command in Bash Shell Scripts, followed by filters and options to work with JSON objects. After that, you will look at the simple usage of the Jq command in Shell Scripts and start working with JSON arrays using the index concept. Next, you will be constructing objects and arrays with and without inputs and the usage of the -n option in Jq Command. Finally, you will study the Jq functions. By the end of this course, you will have learned and gained the requisite confidence to work with the Jq Command using Bash Shell scripting in detail. Audience This course is ideal for Bash Shell Scripting developers wanting to use Jq Command in scripts and programmers who work with JSON. IT professionals who work with JSON or anyone who works with JSON will also benefit from the course. As a prerequisite, you should have a Linux/Mac system to practice, basic knowledge of the command line, along with beginner-level knowledge of usage of pipelines and redirections. Kurzfassung: Learn how to use probability/statistics in all areas of computer science, data science, and machine learning About This Video A practical approach towards understanding the core concepts of probability and statistics Focuses on the applications of these important mathematical concepts in data science, machine learning, and other areas Understand why probability is the foundation of all modern machine learning In Detail The objective of this course is to give you a solid foundation needed to excel in all areas of computer science--specifically data science and machine learning. The issue is that most of the probability and statistics courses are too theory-oriented. They get tangled in the math without discussing the importance of applications. Applications are always given secondary importance. In this course, we take a code-oriented approach. We apply all concepts through code. In fact, we skip over all the useless theory that isn't relevant to computer science. Instead, we focus on the concepts that are more useful for data science, machine learning, and other areas of computer science. For instance, many probability courses skip over Bayesian inference. We will get to this immensely important concept rather quickly and give it due attention as it is widely thought of as the future of analysis! This way, you get to learn the most important concepts in this subject in the shortest amount of time possible without having to deal with the details of the less relevant topics. Once you have developed an intuition of the important stuff, you can then learn the latest and greatest models even on your own! Audience This course is designed for beginner ML and data science developers who need a solid foundation, for developers curious about data science and machine learning, for people looking to find out why probability is the foundation of all modern machine learning, or for developers who want to know how to harness the power of big data.
