    Abstract: Seit über einem halben Jahrhundert das Standardwerk der Jugendforschung in Deutschland: Was die Jugend denkt, wünscht, hofft, fürchtet hier steht es. Die Shell Jugendstudie 2010 fragt nach, wie es der Jugend nach der Finanz- und Wirtschaftskrise geht: Wie gehen die Jugendlichen mit dem Druck und der Unsicherheit um, die sich aus den globalen Entwicklungen ergeben? Wie sieht sich die junge Generation mit all ihren Erwartungen an die eigene Zukunft in einer etablierten Gesellschaft fühlen sie sich wahrgenommen und respektiert? gibt auch Antworten über die Bereitschaft der Jugend, sich politisch und gesellschaftlich zu engagieren setzt die Langzeit-Berichterstattung über die junge Generation in Deutschland seit über 50 Jahren fort, indem jugendliche Lebenswelten, Rollenverständnis sowie Einstellungen zur Politik erfragt werden basiert auf den Ergebnissen einer aktuellen und repräsentativen Befragung Jugendlicher in 2010 und zeichnet so ein aktuelles Portrait der jungen Generation
