    Abstract: Männer des Dorfes Iskatul arbeiten in Gemeinschaftsarbeit an einer vom Hochwasser bedrohten Brücke: Errichten der Uferpfeiler, Bau eines Balkengerüstes (Auflage für die Balken). Die Konstruktionsteile beider Uferseiten werden durch vier Balken miteinander verbunden und mit Bohlen abgedeckt.
    Abstract: The flood threatened bridge is partly torn down and built up again by mutual assistance of the men of the village. On one of the river banks the pole has to be newly assembled. Beams are used to build up the scaffolding. Stones and twigs are used to fill the frame-work. Owing to this the beams, overlapping each other with the tips, are able to over-bridge the river. The construction can then be connected by four beams to the corresponding ones on the other bank. After the beams have been secured by planks the bridge is ready for use.

    Abstract: On a vertical loom the threads of yak hair are stretched in a double-rowed warp, the dividing staffs are inserted, the heddle staff is twisted in and fixed. By an alternating use of various self-coloured weft threads a triped pattern is woven. Later the warp shiner is inserted, the warp is pulled and stretched again. When the weaving is finished, the loops of the warp are untied from the frame. The textile is cut up in the middle, resulting in two rugs.

Die Spieler dürfen sich dabei nur auf einem Bein hüpfend und den anderen Fuß mit einer Hand festhaltend fortbewegen. Die verteidigende Partei versucht in der gleichen Haltung durch Rempeln, Festhalten usw. die Gegner zu hindern, das Mal zu erreichen.

The players are only allowed to move along by hopping on one leg and holding the other with one hand. The defending party, in the same pose, tries to hinder the opponent from reaching the goal, by jostling, grappling etc.

Es folgen das Worfeln und das Sieben, das Reinigen, das Wegbringen des Strohs, das Abfüllen des Weizens in Säcke unter Einhaltung gewisser Riten und Bräuche und der Abtransport.
    Abstract: This film shows how in Baharak (Province of Badaxsan, North-East Afghanistan), 3 to 4 weeks after the wheat harvest when reaping is almost finished in all the fields, a threshing place is prepared, the wheatsheaves are brought and threshed with a threshing sledge. Then follow winnowing and sifting, the timeconsuming, complicated cleaning process, removal of the straw, the filling of the wheat into sacks (which follows a pattern of rites and customs), and transport.

Attaching the warp threads to the heddles and fixing the heddles by means of drawcords to both arms of a lever-like longitudinal rod. By alternate raising and lowering the shed is formed. Light-coloured, red and black woollen threads are inserted. The result is a weft-faced rib weave with horizontal stripes. The finished carpet is cut from the loom and the loom is removed.
