    Abstract: In the village of Iskatul (Sanglic valley, Province of Badaxsan, North-East Afghanistan) a native cobbler is making a pair of high boots from the skin of an ibex, as worn by the men of this area. Each boot consists of two like pieces of leather. The complete process is recorded, from the cutting of the skin to paying of the cobbler.

The game is played between two parties of riders and consists of picking up, while mounted, the dead body of a calf of about 50 kilos, taking along the dead body, and depositing it in a marked circle.
