    Kurzfassung: Am Pfingstmontag wird ein Bursche in einer Scheune in grünes Laub eingehüllt. Dieser Butz wird in einem Reiterumzug mitgeführt und in der Mitte des Dorfes symbolisch getötet. Der Umzug endet auf einer Wiese, wo als Abschluß ein Pferderennen stattfindet. Sieger ist der Reiter, der den geschmückten Maibaum am Ende der Rennbahn im Vorbeireiten an sich reißen kann. Brauchträger sind die 20-21jährigen Burschen.
    Kurzfassung: In a barn, a young man is enveloped in green foliage. This veiled figure is then led round in a procession of riders, and killed symbolically in the middle of the village. The procession ends on a meadow, where a horse-race serves as finale. The winner is the horseman who, riding past, succeeds in seizing hold of a decorated maypole at the end of the track.

Beim Klammwirt (St. Peter) werden den Kühen Glocken umgehängt, und der Leitkuh wird ein Kranz auf den Kopf gebunden. Am Nachmittag des zweiten Tages treffen die Herden auf den heimatlichen Höfen ein. Abends laden dann die Hofleute Freunde und Nachbarn zum "Kühkemma" ein.

In the afternoon of the second day the herds arrive at the farms. In the evening the farmers invite their friends and neighbours.

    Kurzfassung: Zehn Paare des Iglauer Singkreises tanzen im Studio des IWF einen Paartanz, dessen ländlerartige Figuren vom ersten Paar eingeleitet und von den übrigen Tänzern übernommen werden. Der Tanz beginnt sehr langsam im 3/4-Takt, geht dann in Polka-Rhythmus über und endet mit einem Galopp. Es spielen Mitglieder des Singkreises auf Iglauer Bauernfiedeln.
    Kurzfassung: Ten dance couples of the Iglau folk club dancing a partner dance in the IWF studio whose ländler like figures are introduced by the first couple and adopted by the other couples. The dance begins very slowly in three-four time, shifts into polka rhythm and ends in a gallop. Members of the Iglau folk club play on Iglau vielles.

    Kurzfassung: Hay-harvesting on a high alpine pasture in the Gsies valley with all operations belonging to it: mowing the grass, sharpening and whetting the scythe, tedding and raking the hay, and carrying the hay into the log-cabin. Beside harvesting we also see the behaviour of the workers at meal, preparing the food and saying grace. The film points out the coordination of the works of the different members of the group. Some operations can hardly be carried out without assistance (e. g. the lifting of the hay charge to be carried in).

    Kurzfassung: Zehn Paare des Iglauer Singkreises singen und tanzen im Studio des IWF. Während abwechselnd ein Bursche und der Mädchenchor einen Vierzeiler singt, tanzt der enge Kreis der Tänzerinnen vor dem Halbkreis der Tänzer mit wiegenden Schritten am Ort. Beim Nachspiel der Musikanten, die auf Iglauer Bauernfiedeln spielen, tanzen Burschen und Mädchen gegengleich im Kreis herum.
    Kurzfassung: Ten dance couples of the Iglau folk group sing and dance in the studio of the IWF. While a boy and a girls' choir alternately sing a four lined stanza, the inner circle of the female dancers dances in front of the semicircle of the male dancers. During the interlude of the musicians playing on Iglau vielles the male and female dancers dance in circles.

    Kurzfassung: The film shows Carnival customs in Elzach on Carnival Sunday ans Monday. The proclamation of Carnival is followed by the run of the Schuddig and a torchlight procession. On early Monday morning the inovcation of the Day takes place by reading satirical verses.

    Kurzfassung: Geschnitten wird den Hang hinunter, jeweils auf das noch stehende Getreide zu. Der geschnittene Roggen wird mit der Sichel hochgehoben und zu Garben gebunden. Zum Trocknen kommen 15 Garben mit den Ähren nach unten auf ein Holzgestell (Mandlan). Die vorletzte und letzte Garbe werden auseinandergefächelt wie eine Kappe und mit heraushängenden Halmen verbunden. Vier Mandlan ergeben einen Schober. Die trockenen Mandlan werden auf dem Rücken in das Futterhaus getragen.
    Kurzfassung: In late July, early August the rye is harvested. Before harvesting, which is done by all members of the family, the reaping-tools are sharpened by beating the cutting-edges flat. During reaping the tools are sharpened again with a whet stone. When the reaped rye is bound, it is put on wooden frames and left to dry. The dried rye is carried into the barn.

    Kurzfassung: In St. Jakob (Ahrntal) wird das Vieh vom Ortspfarrer gesegnet (27.5.1963). Auf der langen Talstraße ziehen die Herden taleinwärts nach Prettau. Am Spätnachmittag erreichen sie die Obere Tauernalm; dort nächtigen sie. Am nächsten Morgen beginnt der Aufstieg durch Schneefelder zum Tauern. Steil geht der Weg jenseits des 2634 m hohen Joches ins Windbachtal hinunter.
    Kurzfassung: At St. Jakob (Ahrntal) the local priest blesses the cattle (27.5.1963). It takes two days to lead the herds across snowfields up to their Alpine pasture.

    Kurzfassung: Vollständiger Ablauf des historischen Zunfttanzes der Faßbinder, der am 17.2.1963 auf dem Münchener Viktualienmarkt aufgenommen wurde. An die Tanzphasen schließt sich das Faßhämmern an, und abschließend treten zwei Reifenschwinger auf.
    Kurzfassung: In the period immediately before carnival-time, 1963, the Munich "Schäffer" (coopers) perform their historic guild-dance. After the dancing follows hammering on barrels, and finally two hoop-swingers appear.

    Kurzfassung: Der Tanz wurde zum Zwecke der Dokumentation vorgeführt: Imbiß der Fahnenkompanie und der Hänsele; Antreten zum Gottesdienst; Marschieren zum Rathaus; Bürgermeister erteilt die Aufführungsgenehmigung; Schwertletanz; Maidletanz.
    Kurzfassung: The film shows the performance of the Überlingen sword dance in 1962. It begins with the morning breakfast of the colour-comppany and of the "Hänsele". After forming up the colour-copmany and the rest of the companies march to divine service and then to the town hall square. After the burgomaster has given his approval the dance is performed. The sword dance is followed by a maidens' dance. A second performance of the sworrd dance was filmed once again.

    Kurzfassung: Eine Gruppe Heimatvertriebener aus dem Böhmerwald führt im Studio des IWF zum Dokumentationszweck den Schwerttanz vor, der aus zwei Teilen (Walzer und Marsch) besteht. In beiden Teilen werden die folgenden Figuren getanzt: Schwertbrücke, Schwertschwelle, Paschen.
    Kurzfassung: A group of refugees from Bohemian Foerst performs in a studio the sword dance of the Bohemian Forest. The dance consists of two parts: The sword bridge, the sword thershold, and the so-called "Paschen". The dance is shown twice, the first time in full view without change of camera angle, the second with respective camera shots of the various steps and movements.

    Kurzfassung: In einer Bauernstube in Mardorf sitzen drei Mädchen und versehen ungefärbte Eier mit geometrischen und pflanzlichen Ornamenten sowie mit Sprüchen. Zum Verzieren verwenden sie flüssiges Bienenwachs und Schreibfedern. Die Eier werden in heiße Farbbrühe getaucht. Anschließend wird das Wachs mit einem weichen Tuch abgerieben. Die Ornamente erscheinen weiß auf farbigem Grund.
    Kurzfassung: In a farmhouse in Mardorf three girls decorate eggs with geometric or plant ornaments and with sayings using liquid beeswax and pens. The eggs are dipped into hot dye. Afterwards the wax is rubbed off with a smooth cloth. The ornaments occur white on a coloured ground.
