    Abstract: Vier mit Pflöcken gespannte Zeltbahnen werden bei Ifrane aneinandergenäht. Annähen von Randgurten, hölzernen Spannknebeln sowie von Haltegurten, Einschneiden und Umsäumen von Ösen, Verbreitern der vorderen und hinteren Zeltbahn mit Zwickeln, Einnähen des Mittelgurtes, Einschieben des Firstholzes und Einsetzen zweier Hauptstützen sowie Nachspannen aller Schnüre und Befestigen der seitlichen Zeltvorhänge.
    Abstract: A tent is being made. Four woven, dark tent-widths (cf. film E 1094) are first spread out on the floor, pulled tight with the help of pegs, and sewn together, from the centre out, with white woollen thread. Border straps are then sewn on, first front and back and then the sides. Wooden toggles for the guy-ropes, and harness, are sewn on and eyelets cut in and hemmed round. The front and back tent-widths are widened in the centre by a gusset. The strap for the central joint, running horizontally to the tent-widths, is then sewn on. The ridge-pole is then pushed under the canvas, which is held taut by guy-ropes and pegs, and then lifted by two main props. The process is finished when all ropes have been checked for tautness and the front and rear curtains have been attached.

    Abstract: Putting-on of women's festive garments. A woman is sitting on the ground in front of the house, has spread out the different garments in front of her, and has just started to put on five kerchiefs one after the other. After this she puts on woollen gaiters and slippers. She rises in order to put on the veil garment. On top of this she sputs on a loose garment worn round the body which is held together by two fibulas, one sash, one silver belt and sleeve suspenders. Finally the bangle, the pendants for chest and forehead are put on.

    Abstract: Near Azrou: a new turban cloth is folded and put on. This is done while standing. A bare-headed man folds, together with an assistant, the turban cloth which is 5 metres long and 80 cm wide in such a way that the cloth overlaps 6-fold and finally 12-fold in longitudinal folds. The assistant is also needed for the putting-on of the turban - he holds the end of the cloth. The cloth is wound around the head clockwise and it is only at the end that the still bare middle part of the head is covered.

    Abstract: Ausschnitte aus einer Fantasia in Ifrane, vorgeführt am 30.8.1964 zu Ehren des Geburtstages des marokkanischen Kronprinzen: Sammeln der Gruppen unter einem Anführer, Losgaloppieren aus dem Stand in voller Karriere, Kunststücke einzelner Reiter, gemeinsames Abfeuern einer Gewehrsalve, Parieren der Pferde.
    Abstract: These displays of horsemanship, under the name of fantasia, are brought here in conjunction with a national festival (Ifrane, August 30, 1964). The tents of the participants are pitched near the riding-track. A water-seller and a drummer are visible. The individual groups ride to the starting-point. The film shows five displays from varying groups on the 500 m long course. First, each rider shows his own individual tricks, then the group fires a closed rifle salvo and reins the horses in hard at the end of the track. Each group then returns to the starting-place.

    Abstract: Aufbau eines waagerechten Griffwebgerätes durch den Zeltbesitzer, seine Frau und seine Mutter bei Ifrane: Scheren der Kette, Spannen der Kettfäden, Einbinden der Litzenschlaufen, Auswechseln der Pflöcke und Befestigen der Kettfäden, Aufhängen des Litzenstabes an einem Dreifuß, Weben einer etwa 75 cm breiten Zeltbahn aus heller Schafwolle.
    Abstract: In front of the tent, a man, his wife and his mother are busy erecting a horizontal weaving apparatus. First the warp is set up. The woollen warp yarns are drawn in a figure of eight around three pegs driven into the ground; the two outer pegs represent the later warp beam and the front or fabric roller; the third, smaller peg takes the place of the heald, and with its help the loops are tied up. The pegs are then replaced and the warp yarns fastened and tied up. With the aid of two pegs in the ground, warp beam and front roller are kept separate, and the warp is stretched horizontally. A tripod is placed between them, from which the heald is hung. After attaching the weft yarn to the shuttle, the young woman plaits in a cord to serve as width indicator, arranges the warp yarns and begins to weave a tent-width. Sheds are formed with the aid of the separator staff and the weaver's board, which is alternately laid flat and upright.
