    Abstract: Aus kleinen Teigballen, aus Weizenmehl und Wasser geknetet, werden Fladen geformt, zwischen den Handflächen hauchdünn ausgezogen und auf der Rückseite einer erhitzten flachen Metallschale gebacken. Das Fladenbrot wird an Männer ausgeteilt und gegessen.
    Abstract: Sifted wheat flour is mixed with water and kneaded without the addition of leaven. Flat loaves are formed from small dough-balls rolled paper-thin between the palms and bakes on the back of a heated flat bowl. The freshly baked flat loaves are distributed to and eaten by men sitting in a tent.

    Abstract: The film shows a woman of Saran (Valley of Mungan, Province of Badaxsan, North-East Afghanistan) baking flat-cakes. The process is completely recorded from sieving of the flour to the finished bread, including shots of the fresh, crispy flat-cakes being eaten.

    Abstract: Von zwei Parteien muß abwechselnd eine versuchen, einem bestimmten Mann den Weg zu einem Mal zu bahnen. Die Spieler dürfen sich dabei nur auf einem Bein hüpfend und den anderen Fuß mit einer Hand festhaltend fortbewegen. Die verteidigende Partei versucht in der gleichen Haltung durch Rempeln, Festhalten usw. die Gegner zu hindern, das Mal zu erreichen.
    Abstract: One of two teams must alternately attempt to clear the path to a goal for its representative. The players are only allowed to move along by hopping on one leg and holding the other with one hand. The defending party, in the same pose, tries to hinder the opponent from reaching the goal, by jostling, grappling etc.

The process is completely recorded, but some of the technical details of the waterdriven mill could not be filmed.
