Abstract:
Mit dem Wechsel vom SSG-System zu den Fachinformationsdiensten stehen auch die virtuellen Fachbibliotheken vor einem Umbruch. Welche Services sollen wie und warum fortgeführt werden? Wie nachhaltig kann man vor dem Hintergrund einer bedarfsorientierten, projektartigen Förderstruktur entwickeln? Der Artikel zeigt die Vorgehensweise, die Hürden und mögliche Lösungswege am Beispiel des Fachportals EVIFA im Fachinformationsdienst Sozial- und Kulturanthropologie. Es wird deutlich, dass in kleineren Einrichtungen eine Verringerung der Komplexität der Angebote sowie die Nachnutzung technischer Lösungen der Trägerinstitution aber auch anderer Einrichtungen eine größere Rolle spielen werden, da technische Entwicklungen in kurzfristigen Bewilligungszeiträumen schwer realisierbar sind.
Abstract:
With the replacement of the SSG system with specialist information services, the virtual specialist libraries face a radical change, too. Which services are to be continued, how and why? How sustainable can a development be before the background of promotion structures that are limited to punctual needs and projects? The article shows the proceedings, the obstacles and possible solutions, taking the example of the specialist portal EVIFA in the specialist information service social and cultural anthropology. It becomes clear that in smaller institutions, a reduction of the complexity of the offers will play a bigger role as well as reusing technical solutions of higher and other institutions because technical developments are hard to realise in short-term periods.
