Abstract:
The Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute exhibition is the most spectacular event of its kind. The subjects explore fashion history, from 2001's "Jacqueline Kennedy: The White House years" to 2011's "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" and 2014's "Charles James: beyond fashion," and in turn reflect and create the contemporary zeitgeist.
