    Abstract: Kurze Einmanndarbietungen: 1. Der Mann als schwangere Frau mit Kind auf dem Rücken bettelt die Zuschauer an. 2. Er schlägt mit einem Trommelstecken nach den Zuschauern, besonders, wenn sie Furcht zeigen. 3. Wortloses pentatonisches Lied nach weiblicher Art und Trommelrhythmus. 4. Gespielte Divination.
    Abstract: First the performer enters the room diguised as a woman with a child in his pouch and another one growing in his body. He asks the people to offer him a gift. In the next scene the actor is in possession of a drum stick. He pretends to strike the bystanders. If anybody shows signs of fear, he will immediately hurt him. Then the performer sings a song without words which belongs to the female repertoire. The concluding part is a mocking divination act.

    Abstract: Ein Mann führt zwei pentatonische Trommelgesänge vor: Der erste handelt von einem Mörder, der Angst vor dem Geist des Getöteten hat. Im zweiten berichtet der Sänger von einem Mordplan gegen ihn und fordert den Gegner zum Singwettstreit heraus, um den Mord zu verhindern.
    Abstract: In the first song, the performer is acting as a man who has killed one of his fellow. He has changed his voice by placing a little stick in his mouth. He is afraid that the spirit of the dead will be looking for him and eventually obtain his revenge in assassinating the murderer himself. In the second song the singer relates that he has become aware of a plan to kill him. He challenges his opponent to a song contest in order to prevent the plan.

    Abstract: Im ersten Gesang trommelt eine Frau in dem für die Frauen typischen Rhythmus und bewegt die Trommel dabei von der Brust vor und zurück. Der Chor singt dazu eine pentatonische Vierer-Tonfolge. Zwei festlich gekleidete Frauen stellen im zweiten Gesang einen vom Chor begleiteten Trommelstreitgesang, ähnlich dem der Männer, dar, nur im Frauenrhythmus.
    Abstract: The first of the two songs shows the playing of the drum in the usual feminine way, moving it regularly to and from the chest in accordance with the rhythm. The melody is performed by the chorus of the bystanders. The second is a drum fight song, it follows the same rules as the male ones, with the exception of the female rhythm. Both women wear their finest clothes which in the old days were used for festive occasions.

    Abstract: Ein Eskimo singt zwei Trommelgesänge. Als Streitgesänge besitzen sie einen speziellen Rhythmus. Durch heftiges Wippen in den Knien wird zum Trommeln und Singen getanzt. Grimassen und Schreie sollen den Gegner herausfordern. Das zweite Lied beschreibt einen Trommel-Streitgesang zwischen zwei Vögeln.
    Abstract: An Eskimo sings two songs with drum. Drum fight songs require specific rhythms. During singing and playing there is also dancing by regular bendings of the knees. Face expressions and cries are traditional means of contempting the opponent. The second song relates to a drum fight between two birds.
