    Abstract: Following the burst of the dot-com bubble in 2000, scepticism about e-learning replaced over-enthusiasm. Rhetoric aside, where do we stand? Why and how do different kinds of tertiary education institutions engage in e-learning? What do institutions perceive to be the pedagogic impact of e-learning in its different forms? How do institutions understand the costs of e-learning? How might e-learning impact staffing and staff development? This book addresses these and many other questions. The study is based on a qualitative survey of practices and strategies carried out by the OECD Center for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI) at 19 tertiary education institutions from 11 OECD member countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States as well as 2 non-member countries: Brazil and Thailand.     Abstract: Les droits des élèves handicapés à être scolarisés, près de chez eux, au sein du système éducatif classique sont de plus en plus reconnus dans la plupart des pays. Rien ne justifie le maintien de structures séparées pour ces élèves dans les systèmes éducatifs publics ; bien au contraire, ce sont ces systèmes qu'il faut revoir pour qu'ils satisfassent les besoins de tous les élèves. A travers une analyse approfondie des pratiques d'insertion scolaire de huit pays, ce livre aborde les questions soulevées pour assurer le succès de ces initiatives. Il ressort de cette étude, qui constitue la comparaison internationale la plus détaillée menée à ce jour, que tous les élèves, quels que soient la nature ou l'importance de leur handicap, peuvent être intégrés dans une scolarité classique pour peu que certaines précautions soient prises.Neuf questions s'affirment d'une importance cruciale : les principes de financement des établissements, les systèmes de contrôle public de l'utilisation des fonds par les écoles, l'évaluation des élèves, l'élaboration des programmes, le ratio maître-élèves, le rôle des aides éducateurs, le fonctionnement des services de soutien, la formation des enseignants et des autres spécialistes, et la participation de la collectivité et des parents.
