    Abstract: The film shows Carnival customs in Elzach on Carnival Sunday ans Monday. The proclamation of Carnival is followed by the run of the Schuddig and a torchlight procession. On early Monday morning the inovcation of the Day takes place by reading satirical verses.

Kleine, runde Laibe werden geformt und auf lange Brotbretter gelegt, die zum Tragen dienen. Der Backofen, der mit Holz beheizt wird, befindet sich außerhalb des Hauses. Die Brote werden während des Backens im Ofen umgesetzt. Die fertigen Brotlaibe werden auf ein Hängegestell gelegt, das am Giebelbalken hängt. Aufgenommen mit 16 B/s; Vorführgeschw. 18 B/s.
    Abstract: In the evening before baking leaven is prepared. In the morning dough is kneaded, water and salt are added and the loaves are formed. The oven is heated and the loaves put in. They are shifted during baking, finally taken out and tested.

    Abstract: Dauben aus Tannenholz werden in einen runden Boden eingelassen und zu einem Eimer zusammengefügt, der mit runden Reifen aus Tannenästen zusammengehalten wird. Nach Entfernen der Reifen fertigt der Kübler zwei breite Reifen aus Spaltholz an, die ausgekocht und zurechtgebogen werden. Nach Bearbeitung der Wandung wird ein Henkel aus Pappelholz angebracht.     Abstract: Work starts with cutting and assembling staves of fir-trees, after the hoops are cut and fixed. Two kinds of hoops are shown: flat hoops of fir-tree and round hoops of spruce-wood. Finally the surface of the bucket are smoothed and a wooden handle is fixed.
