    Abstract: Alljährlich am Bartholomäustag (24. Aug.) findet der Zunfttag der Schäfer vom Schwarzwald, von der Alb, vom Oberland und vom mittleren Neckar in Markgröningen statt. Festzug zur Stadtkirche und nach dem Gottesdienst zum Festplatz. Wettlauf der Schäfer und Schäfermädchen; Krönung der Sieger; Schäferreigen; Hahnentanz; Wettlauf der Wasserträgerinnen.
    Abstract: Annually on Bartholomew's day (24th August), the guild day of the shepherds from Black Forest, Alb, Oberland and Middle Neckar takes place in Markgrönigen; following the church service, festival parade moves to th city church and the festival square; race of the shepherds and shepherd girls; crowning of the winners; shepherd's round dance; cockerel dance; race of the water bearers.

    Abstract: Nach einem Umzug im Dorf wird eine mannshohe Eichenfigur, der Roland, aufgestellt. Junge Burschen reiten an ihm vorbei und versuchen, mit dem Stößer den Schild des Rolands zu treffen. Am Ende des Wettkampfs wird der Roland in feierlichem Umzug zum Aufbewahrungsort getragen. Aufgenommen mit 20 B/s; Vorführgeschw. 18 B/s.
    Abstract: Following a procession through village, a human-sized oakfigure, the Roland, is erected; young boys ride past, trying to hit Roland's shield with thrust poles; at the end of the competition Roland is carried in a ceremonial procession to a storage site. Recording speed 20 fps, projection speed 18 fps.
