He is the author of Sport-Commerce-Culture: Essays on Sport in Late Capitalist America(2006), and the co-editor of Sport, culture and advertising: Identities, commodities and the politics of representation(2004), Sport and Corporate Nationalisms(2004), and Qualitative methods in sport studies(2005).Ben Carringtonteaches sociology at the University of Texas at Austin and is a Carnegie Visiting Research Fellow at Leeds Metropolitan University in England.
