    Kurzfassung: On a national feast day, a men's group from Wardak, accompanied by two drums, dances for an audience in Kabul. Their dance is characterised by the dancer's turning around his own axis and making circular movements of the head.

    Kurzfassung: Von zwei Parteien muß abwechselnd eine versuchen, einem bestimmten Mann den Weg zu einem Mal zu bahnen. Die Spieler dürfen sich dabei nur auf einem Bein hüpfend und den anderen Fuß mit einer Hand festhaltend fortbewegen. Die verteidigende Partei versucht in der gleichen Haltung durch Rempeln, Festhalten usw. die Gegner zu hindern, das Mal zu erreichen.
    Kurzfassung: One of two teams must alternately attempt to clear the path to a goal for its representative. The players are only allowed to move along by hopping on one leg and holding the other with one hand. The defending party, in the same pose, tries to hinder the opponent from reaching the goal, by jostling, grappling etc.

    Kurzfassung: A woman of Saran (Valley of Mungan, Badaxsan-Province, North-East Afghanistan) brings a small quantity of grain - wheat and barley - to be ground in the local mill, whereby she herself assists the mill servant. The process is completely recorded, but some of the technical details of the waterdriven mill could not be filmed.

    Kurzfassung: Aus kleinen Teigballen, aus Weizenmehl und Wasser geknetet, werden Fladen geformt, zwischen den Handflächen hauchdünn ausgezogen und auf der Rückseite einer erhitzten flachen Metallschale gebacken. Das Fladenbrot wird an Männer ausgeteilt und gegessen.
    Kurzfassung: Sifted wheat flour is mixed with water and kneaded without the addition of leaven. Flat loaves are formed from small dough-balls rolled paper-thin between the palms and bakes on the back of a heated flat bowl. The freshly baked flat loaves are distributed to and eaten by men sitting in a tent.

    Kurzfassung: Zwei Frauen weben gemeinsam an einem horizontalen Webstuhl mit zwei Litzenstäben im Sommerweidegebiet am Siwa-See einen gemusterten Wollteppich: Aufbau des Webstuhls, Aufspannen der Kette, Einschlingen der Litzenstäbe, Weben, Abschneiden des Teppichs mit Fransenbildung.
    Kurzfassung: Setting up a horizontal llom with two heddles. Stretching a double warp by winding figures of eight. Attaching the warp threads to the heddles and fixing the heddles by means of drawcords to both arms of a lever-like longitudinal rod. By alternate raising and lowering the shed is formed. Light-coloured, red and black woollen threads are inserted. The result is a weft-faced rib weave with horizontal stripes. The finished carpet is cut from the loom and the loom is removed.
