Abstract:
Die südindischen Küstenbewohner von Travancore verarbeiten die Kokosnuß (Cocos nucifera) vielseitig: Ernte der Kokosnuß, Öffnen der Nüsse und Trocknen der Hälften, Verarbeitung des Fruchtfleisches zu Kopra und Kokosöl, Gewinnung und Verarbeitung von Kokosfasern, Verwendung der Blätter und des Stammes als Baumaterial, Gewinnung von Palmwein und Palmessig, Verwendungsmöglichkeiten des Palmöls.
Abstract:
People from the South Indian coast of Travancore use the coconut (Cocos nucifera) in various ways: coconut harvest, opening of nuts and drying of the halves, making copra and coconut oil from the flesh, winning and processing of coir, use of the leafs and the trunk as building material, winning of palm wine and palm vinegar, palm oil utilization.
