Abstract: A lace-maker from Egerland is working on a lace pillow in horizontal-cylinder form with eight to twenty bobbins. She is showing as well basic patterns of this handicraft as specific elements of her own country of origin: lace, hand movements, how to work, and execution. The lace-maker stuffs her pillow and then executes, after having attached the specific card-board pattern, several traditional lace tapes of her own country with the motives called ladder (Leiter), serpent (Schlange), galloon (Tresse), little spots (Fleckchen), and spider (Spinne). Finally she makes a lace called Heftspitze ('heften'='to baste'), a combination of different design elements and grounds. (See also the films E 2022, E 2023, E 2090).

Abstract: Eine alte Egerländerin klöppelt eine kleine, runde Spitzendecke.

She is showing as well basic patterns of this handicraft as specific elements of her own country of origin: lace, pattern, hand movements, how to work, and execution. After short preparatory work the lace-maker makes a small round lace mat. Different elements: leaf stitch (Formschlag), whole stitch (Leinenschlag), and little spots (Fleckchen), executed in three stages of working, are combined, the spaces between the designs are filled with plaiting (Flechten) and rose ground (Rosengrund). All design zones are connected already during working. (See also the films E 2022, E 2023, E 2089).
