    Abstract: Knjiga govori o povezanosti regionalnih inovacijskih sistemov in njihovega prispevka h gospodarski rasti na nekem področju. V sodobnih teorijah in empiričnih raziskavah lahko najdemo jasne dokaze o tesni medsebojni povezanosti tehnološkega napredka, ustvarjalnih človeških virov, tolerantnosti in investiranja kapitala, pri čemer so investicije zgolj odsev ter temeljni, ne pa tudi zadostni pogoj k uravnavanju razvojnih spodbud. Kapital, povezan z investicijskimi aktivnostmi, je skupaj z naravnimi (surovine) in človeškimi (delo, znanje in informacije) viri eden izmed ključnih dejavnikov gospodarskega napredka. Geografska analiza ustvarjalnosti in naložb kot pomembnih razvojnih dejavnikov je pokazala, da je njuna razporeditev skoraj identična

    Abstract: Since Slovenia's independence, new economic and social policies have been influencing settlement patterns.     Abstract: Knjiga obravnava značilnosti pozidave zemljišč v različnih podeželskih naseljih po osamosvojitvi Slovenije. Na novo oblikovana gospodarska in družbena politika je namreč opazno vplivala na poselitvene razmere v državi. Procesi, ki so se začeli že prej, so v tem obdobju postali intenzivnejši, poleg tega so se poglobile razlike med posameznimi območji. Rezultati raziskave, ki so predstavljeni v knjigi, lahko pripomorejo k aktivnejši zemljiški politiki in k boljšemu razumevanju strukture pozidanih zemljišč v slovenskih podeželskih naseljih, pa tudi poznavanju sodobnih teženj njihovega demografskega in gospodarskega razvoja. Za stroko je pomemben predvsem izviren metodološki pristop, ki združuje terensko delo, analizo razpoložljivih statističnih virov in rezultate dveh nizov aerosnemanj. Delo je namenjeno raziskovalcem problematike podeželja Slovenije, urbanistom, prostorskim načrtovalcem in študentom

    Abstract: Creativity is gaining in its importance within the knowledge society. Studying these complex dimensions and their long-term consequences for the economic and social progress was the object of abundant social studies n the past. But the transformation of the landscape due to creative influences, as one of the most important factors regarding structural changes in modern society, is not well represented in Slovenian geographical literature. The booklet at hand is the first attempt of establishing some geographical-developmental factors, which are encouraged by various forms of creative human activities. The geographical dispersion of human potentials is one of the key generators of creativity and social development. Some important socio-economic effects and regional disparities in the region are also in correlation with the aforementioned factors. We will try to explain some of them within a critical research view and within the form of the available space and on the other hand also show some new dimensions of social geography as a way of challenging future detailed discussions
    Abstract: Knjiga je prvi poskus utemeljitve nekaterih geografskih razvojnih dejavnikov, ki jih spodbujajo različne oblike človekove ustvarjalnosti. Geografska razprostranjenost človeških potencialov je eden ključnih spodbujevalcev ustvarjalnosti in s tem družbenega razvoja. Z njimi so povezani pomembni socialnoekonomski učinki in tudi regionalne disparitete v pokrajini. Na nekatere smo s kritičnim raziskovalnim pristopom poskušali odgovoriti, hkrati pa smo želeli odstreti nove razsežnosti v družbeni geografiji, kot izziv za nadaljevanje poglobljenih raziskav
