    Abstract: Zwei Männer fällen einen Baum, aus dem nach mehrmaligem Abmessen ein ca. 5 m langer Einbaum hergestellt wird. Der Stamm wird ausgehöhlt, und die Wände des Bootes werden geglättet. Bei der Arbeit bringen die Männer ein Trankopfer dar. Nach Fertigstellung wird das Boot zu einem Gewässer transportiert und zu Wasser gelassen. Für ein Einweihungsfest werden Speisen zubereitet und von den Männern gegessen. Ein Mann demonstriert die Verwendung des Bootes bei Paddelfahrten auf dem Wasser.
    Abstract: A tree is felled, measured off and the approximate shape and dimensions of the boat to be made from it are marked with an axe. The trunk is hollowed out, the walls are smoothed. Finally a drink-offering is made by the workers for the wounded tree and the new boat. In addition the film shows the transport of the finished boat and its launching, its first trip and finally a feast.

    Abstract: Vom Ufer eines Gewässers holt sich ein Mann Mangroven-Luftwurzeln und schneidet sie zurecht. An seinem Arbeitsplatz spleißt er die Wurzeln der Länge nach und flicht daraus einen Korb. Ein anderer Flechtvorgang zeigt die Herstellung eines schalenförmigen Traggefäßes aus Palmblättern, das nach Fertigstellung mit Palmblütenkolben gefüllt und abtransportiert wird.
    Abstract: In the thick mangrove woods aerial roots are ripped down from trees, split open and plaited into baskets. The second part shows the plaiting of a palm leaf basket in a way which is difficult to see. Spadixes are tied into the basket and it is carried away.

    Abstract: Ein Mann klettert mit Hilfe eines Steigringes in den Wipfel einer Palme. In die angeschnittenen Blütenscheiden werden Löcher gebohrt, in die Kalebassen oder Flaschen eingeführt werden, um die Flüssigkeit aufzufangen. Der gewonnene Palmsaft wird in einem Palmblattkorb abtransportiert.
    Abstract: At the crown of a palm tree palm juice is obtained from the blossom sheath by boring a hole, inserting a pipe and attaching a bottle or a calabash to it to vatch the liquid. The palm wine obtained is finally put into a palm leaf basket, as shown in film E 233, and carried away.

    Abstract: Lines are twisted from the bast strips of a reedlike plant and small fish hooks attached to them. Small bait fish are caught just under the the surface of the water with a flat net basket, attached to the long fishing line in the water and spread out in the water. After some time the line is brought in again, and the fish caught are put into the boat.
