Abstract: The book deals with the transversal theme of hymn-technological development through robots and cobots, the introduction of which crosses now business, scholastic and educational contexts. Starting from an introduction aimed at questioning what is meant from for innovation and what could be the minimum conditions for it we can actually speak of innovative contexts, the volume takes the distances from techno-enthusiastic or techno-critical approaches assumed a priori and suggested manages a departure from a win win perspective at any cost which does not properly reflect on some crucial issues in supporting the innovative processes, including the training of workers (in primis), the legal perspectives, as well as the needs in the terms of new tools to ensure the management of health and safety at work. The volume continues by addressing the potential of collaborative robots in helping people to carry out more or less complex tasks, ibid including learning; therefore, some uses of robotics are presented in educational contexts of school or higher education where robotics could be used as a tool to support people with autism, contrast bullying phenomena, help develop skills transversal and space-time trends, also through the use of the so-called swarm robotics. Despite the difference of languages and specific perspectives that distinguish the different chapters, the volume is oriented to a reader curious and aware that business, school and university can play the their game in synergy, learning to listen to each other and to reflect more frequently-mind about the challenges that unite them

Abstract: The promotion of greater diversity in the socio-demographic profile of the teaching population is the subject of an increasing international interest. However, the perspective of teachers with disabilities/specific learning disorders (SLDs) is still poorly investigated, especially in Italy. The entry of teachers with disabilities/SLDs into the teaching profession can represent a decisive step towards the development of increasingly higher levels of inclusion both in teacher training and in the school setting, also considering the benefits that teachers with disabilities/SLDs can bring in terms of inclusive values and practices. Although, the topic raises some dilemmas and tensions, elicited by the dual mandate of schools and universities, which are called to ensure the quality of: a) the educational offer; b) the professional profile of (student) teachers who (will) work in schools. At the same time, they need to grant (student) teachers the right to use accommodations during their educational and professional career. The volume presents a multi-perspective reflection on the subject, presenting ‒ in particular ‒ two systematic reviews on international research on the topic and an empirical study conducted within the Italian context. The latter investigated the facets underlying the inclusion of (student) teachers with disabilities/SLDs through a multi-method approach

Abstract: Starting from the binomial education/nature, the book explores issues relating to the broad field of outdoor education, in a choral analysis that aims to restore the plurality of approaches, choices and possible nuances. The text, in fact, develops the reflection in different directions through perspectives that come from different disciplinary fields (anthropological, architectural, biological, geographical, naturalistic, pedagogical and didactic, psychological, ethical...), but all aimed at overcoming reductionist visions that risk to reduce the debate on the subject and not guarantee the possibility of impact and change. What emerges is a legitimate and credible multi-faceted approach which, rather than synthesising and reducing, opens up further fields of research in a public debate that can no longer be delayed. This book is the result of in-depth work carried out as part of the inter-university specialisation course "Education and Nature" - conducted jointly by the Departments of Human Sciences for Education "Riccardo Massa" of the University of Milan Bicocca, of Human and Social Sciences of the University of Valle d'Aosta, of Educational Sciences "Giovanni Maria Bertin" of the University of Bologna and of Humanities, Social Sciences and Cultural Industries of the University of Parma (and previously by the Department of Education and Human Sciences of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia) - and includes contributions by: Francesca Agostini, Francesca Antonacci, Maja Antonietti, Antonella Bachiorri, Giuseppe Barbiero, Fabrizio Bertolino, Cristina Birbes, Bettina Bolten, Mirella D'Ascenzo, Roberto Farné, Monica Guerra, Elena Mignosi, Luigina Mortari, Anna Perazzone, Andrea Pintus, Valentina Porcellana, Michela Schenetti, Enrico Squarcina, Mauro Van Aken, Beate Weyland

Abstract: The volume is the result of a choral enterprise, created on the sidelines of a choral experience. It tells, analyzes, and shares the social, pedagogical, civil, cultural and political experience of TAU Center, a community center funded in 1988 with the aim of offering concrete answers to growth needs of children, young people and adults in Zisa, a territory close to the historic center of the city of Palermo. The composition of the essays offers a mosaic and a fresco in whose attentive operators, far-sighted administrators, curious researchers and industrious citizens describe the waves of their paths along the paths of social planning, pedagogy of liberation and civil resistance. At TAU Center, Franciscan spirituality, Don Milani's school in Barbiana, Janusz Korczak's Warsaw ghetto, Paulo Freire's Brazil, Danilo Dolci's Partinico, resonated in an educational enterprise dedicated to the possibility of growing together, with care and patience, every day, thanks to the work of everyone around

Abstract: The book is intended as an operational tool for all teachers at all school levels who want to contribute to the introduction of reading aloud in schools in an intensive, progressive and daily fashion. The book makes use of the research work carried out within the "Reading: So Cool!" project in the Region of Tuscany. In the first year, training, supervision, support, monitoring and quantitative and qualitative surveys were focused on the 0/6 system which the first book, divided into 27 suggestions for reading aloud, addressed (Batini, Giusti, eds., 2021). The present volume represents the continuation of the second year of the research and illustrates 16 fundamental techniques and strategies for correct management of the practice of reading aloud in the school context. The methodological proposals are organised in three sections: Preparation, Action! and After Reading. This volume is the result of a participatory process involving fruitful dialogue among the scientific literature, expertise and didactic practice and in which the experience of a panel of experts - composed of scholars, operators, educators and teachers of all school levels - has been enhanced. "Reading: So Cool! Reading aloud increases intelligence" is an educational policy of the Region of Tuscany, implemented with the scientific and operational coordination of the University of Perugia (Department of Philosophy, Social Sciences and Education), in collaboration with Cepell ("Centre for Promotion of Books and Reading" of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities); the Regional School Office of Tuscany; Indire (Central Institute for Innovation, Documentation and Educational Research); and LaAV (National movement of reading aloud volunteers within the association Nausika)

Abstract: Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development is a shared action plan for people, for the planet and for prosperity, adopted in September 2015 by the 193 United Nations (UN) Member States. The guidelines of this journey are summarized by 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the associated 169 Targets approved by the UN, with the shared aim to reach them by 2030. The volume, composed of 7 chapters, discusses 3 of the SDGs: to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education, to achieve gender equality and to reduce economic inequality within and across national borders. The INVALSI database provided a valuable resource to the authors to investigate the characteristics of the Italian school system. We wish the volume reading encourages the discussion about possible ameliorative interventions and it is a starting point to measure potential progress

Abstract: The Improvement Plan (better known as PdM, that is Piano di Miglioramento) was introduced in school agenda in 2015. Since then, both teachers and administrative staff have worked in a process of change and enhancement in two main areas: teaching/learning and organization/management ones. Consequently, it began to flourish implementing projects in order to find the best solutions to reach the main school goal: providing the educational success to all students, with respect for their several differences. This book collects papers, submitted at IV edition of the Seminar "INVALSI data: a research and teaching tool" held in Rome in November 2019, by both teachers and researchers to debate and deepen this topic, sharing ideas, suggestions, and experiences. Abstract: One of the main goals of the Italian National Evaluation System, since its establishment in 2013, is to strengthen the link between improvement and evaluation. Over the years, after some resistance, schools began to reflect about their activities and organization, having thus the real chance to explore new enhancing paths. This increasing awareness has contributed to broaden studies and educational research. The Seminar "INVALSI data: a research tool" organized for several years by the Statistical Service of INVALSI, gives also to headmasters and teachers (in addition to researchers) the opportunity to show and share ideas, suggestions, best practices, and trials. This is the issue of this book which collects six studies submitted at III edition of the Seminar "INVALSI data: a research and teaching tool" held in Bari from 26th to 28th October 2018. Thanks to INVALSI data, researchers and teachers can strengthen the necessary partnership for educational research and in order to improve students' achievement

Abstract: INVALSI Statistical Service has been organizing the Seminar "INVALSI data: a research tool" for many years. It's an event which is becoming more and more important for all those who have an interest in discussing and sharing ideas, studies and experiences, from different points of view, about what INVALSI data could tell for teaching and research to several stakeholders. In this issue, the main core topic is about academic achievement and its conditioning factors. Educational results are both outcomes of single student's engagement and consequence of a more complex process which involves the family, the school community and the wider context. This book has ten chapters and it includes some studies and researches, based on different theoretical and methodological approaches, made during the III edition of the Seminar, held in Bari from 26th to 28th October 2018, which could be a helpful insight in order to explore and deepen the main issue

Abstract: Over the years, interest in data has always grown and, aware of their centrality, many institutions, both public and private, share their data to facilitate the work of all those who wish to use them to interpret phenomena. In the education field, the data produced by INVALSI undoubtedly have a leading role, both at a sample and census level. The availability of data on learning achievements and living conditions of students (the so-called "context data"), as well as on the professional and operational conditions of teachers and School Managers, collected through specific questionnaires, is a valuable source of information based on which it is possible not only to plan improvement interventions in the didactic field, but also to undertake stimulating paths of educational research. This volume hosts four research papers, presented within the III Seminar "INVALSI data: a research tool", which took place in Bari from 26 to 28 October 2018. Thanks to the INVALSI data, the authors conducted interesting in depth analysis of various aspects relating to the Italian education system
