Abstract: Modifications in biomacromolecules (DNA, RNA, and proteins) are important molecular events in different pathophysiological conditions. These modifications include DNA modifications, RNA post-transcriptional modifications, and protein post-translational modifications that regulate the structures and functions of biomacromolecules and even the entire biological system. In addition, they are associated with a wide spectrum of diseases. Biomacromolecular modifications are important factors in creating proteoforms that constitute the end-point structural and functional forms of a gene or protein that can be applied for predictive, preventive, and personalized medicine (PPPM) as well as precision medicine (PM)

Abstract: Manuscript albums are oftentimes contradictory objects: ephemeral yet monumental, coherent yet inviting change. Collecting items made by others, owners form their albums as representations of their selves, their worlds, and their traditions. The volume’s contributors – who come from musicology, European history, English literary studies, and Islamic art history – explore a set of these challenging manuscripts while addressing questions of manuscript studies through their respective disciplinary lenses. The albums under investigation range from Early Modern Stammbücher, or alba amicorum, to albums assembled jointly by nineteenth-century cultural elites, and from muraqqaʿs of the Persianate world to English and North American friendship albums, including some kept by women. This book is the first contribution to the comparative study of manuscript albums, focusing on their materiality and analysing the practices of all those involved in making and using them. Moreover, the collection introduces this hard-to-grasp type of written artefact to the field of cross-disciplinary manuscript studies and suggests albums as a touchstone for manuscriptological theories and terminologies.; Manuscript albums are oftentimes contradictory objects: ephemeral yet monumental, coherent yet inviting change. Abstract: „Kellers Wissen“ erscheint als vierter Band der Serie „Gottfried Kellers Moderne“. Abstract: Marine ecosystems are very productive and include the open ocean, the deep-sea ocean, and coastal marine ecosystems, each of which has different physical and biological characteristics. The biodiversity of some of these ecosystems is very rich and abundant, offering unique opportunities for high-yield production of proteinaceous material, which is a source of high-quality foods. Biodiversity is fundamental to sustaining marine ecosystem services, such as food security, maintenance of water quality, and recovery from perturbations, which are currently being threatened worldwide. The main threats to marine biodiversity are habitat loss, eutrophication, overexploitation, pollution by hazardous substances, introduction of non-native species, and other human activities. Efforts to reduce these pressures are essential for coastal water quality, recovery of ecosystem services, global food security, and ecosystem stability. Bioindicators are important tools to be used as early warning signals to detect the presence of natural and chemical stressors when monitoring and managing ecosystems and thus promoting ecosystem health. The protection of biodiversity is a major target of the European Union Marine Strategy Framework Directive, requiring an assessment of the status of biodiversity on the level of species, habitats, and ecosystems, including genetic diversity and the role of biodiversity in food web structure and functioning. The restoration of marine ecosystems can support the productivity and reliability of goods and services that the ocean provides to humankind to maintain ecosystem integrity and stability. Some of the goods produced by the marine ecosystem services are fish harvests, wild plant and animal resources, water, and services that provide recreation, tourism, breeding and nursery habitats, water transport, carbon sequestration, erosion control, and habitat provision. This book comprises six chapters that discuss the ecological, economic, and social roles of a variety of organisms, from primary producers to consumers, relating these roles with water quality and conservation of estuarine and marine ecosystems and thus the contribution to human health

Abstract: Throughout history, manuscripts have been made and used for religious, artistic, and scientific performances, and this practice continues in most cultures today. By focusing on the role manuscripts have in different kinds of performances, this volume contributes to the evolving field of investigating written artefacts and their functions. The collected essays regard manuscripts as points of intersection where textual, material, and performative aspects converge. The contributors analyse manuscripts in their forms and functions as well as their positioning in the performances for which they were made. These aspects unfold across the volume’s three sections, examining how manuscripts are (1) used backstage, for preparing and giving instructions for performances; (2) taken onstage, contributing to the enactment of performances; and (3) performers in their own right, producing an effect on the audience. The diversified, interdisciplinary, and innovative methodologies of the included papers carry great potential to expand the traditional approaches of manuscript studies and find application outside the contributors’ respective fields. ; Throughout history, manuscripts have been made and used for religious, artistic, and scientific performances, and this practice continues in most cultures today. Abstract: Salmonella is a Gram-negative bacterium and a member of the Enterobacteriaceae family that causes infections in humans and animals, making it one of the most common causes of bacterial gastroenteritis worldwide. Since its discovery in the late 1800s, significant progress has been made in the understanding of its genetics, classification, pathogenesis, detection, prevention, control, and treatment. Numerous reviews and chapters on Salmonella have been published, but some gaps remain to be addressed. This book includes seven chapters that focus on the low-cost prevention, control, and treatment of salmonellosis in developing countries. It begins with a brief review of Salmonella, followed by chapters on the transmission of the organism in food and companion animals relevant to the One Health approach, CRISPR-Cas systems in Salmonella for pathogen typing in diagnosis and surveillance, the low-cost control of Salmonella using solar disinfection of water in resource-limiting communities, and transmission and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Salmonella across the One Health sector. This book also introduces a new concept of AMR reversal using traditional Chinese medicine. The information provided in this book will encourage Salmonella researchers, medical professionals, and students to further enhance their own research and education as well as encourage new researchers to include Salmonella in their future research initiatives

Abstract: Sleep is undoubtedly one of the most intricate and abstruse issues in humans. Disturbances of sleep are widespread and can have a great impact on involved individuals as well as an economic influence on society. The COVID-19 pandemic forced predominant changes in recent years, such as the development of wearable devices and the Internet of Things (IoT) in telehealth. These are helpful for disease evaluation and treatment, however, they may not be adequate for dealing with the complexity of sleep medicine. I believe that specialists in sleep medicine will accelerate increased public awareness of sleep disorders and facilitate the consolidation of sleep health into medical care in a responsible fashion, including innovations in sleep medicine. This book presents updated developments as well as future perspectives in sleep medicine. It is a useful resource for persons involved in sleep medicine, whether they are clinicians, researchers, or patients

Abstract: This book presents a comprehensive overview of ataxia, a common neurological disorder that affects all ages. It can manifest in children when they start to sit and walk and under a specific form of genetic disease and in the elderly through falls that worsen with age. In general, ataxia consists of the involuntary lack of coordination of muscle movements, which mainly presents as abnormalities in gait, changes in speech (e. g., scanning speech), and abnormal eye movements such as nystagmus. It results from dysfunction of the nervous system areas responsible for the coordination of movements and, most commonly, the cerebellum and its connections to the cerebrum and periphery. The book is organized into three sections and six chapters that address such topics as genetic conditions, childhood-onset ataxia, ataxia and multiple sclerosis, therapeutic interventions, and more

Abstract: Neuroimaging has developed rapidly, such as ultrasound, CT scanning, MRI, functional MRI, 7T MRI, and digital subtraction angiography, providing high-resolution acquisition and better contrast, making it easier to detect lesions and structural changes in brain diseases. Targeted diseases in neuroimaging include tumors, vascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, and psychiatric disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, severe depression, and schizophrenia. The ability of electroencephalography and magnetoencephalography to detect changes in brain function in other dementia suggests that they may also be promising biomarkers for early vascular cognitive impairment. In recent years, machine learning has achieved significant success in providing automated analysis for neuroimaging research, and its role may increase in the future. For clinical doctors, understanding these methods and mastering explanatory skills are crucial

Abstract: An abscess is a collection of pus in any part of the body. There are two different types of abscesses: skin abscesses and internal abscesses. Skin abscesses (cutaneous abscesses) develop under the skin. They are common and typically easy to treat. Internal abscesses develop inside an organ or in the spaces between organs and can be more difficult to identify than skin abscesses. The symptoms can be vague and there may be no obvious external signs of a problem. This book provides a comprehensive review of the different types of abscesses along with their causes and treatments

Abstract: Sarcoidosis is a generalized, systemic, and specific granulomatous disease involving many organs and systems. Diagnosis of sarcoidosis is challenging, especially when mediastinal lymph nodes and lungs are not affected. The symptoms of sarcoidosis depend on its location. Differential diagnosis of sarcoidosis among the other specific granulomatous diseases is difficult, particularly with tuberculosis on biopsy. The etiology of sarcoidosis is still unknown, but this book offers insights and explanations. It also presents guidelines for treatment

Abstract: Neuropediatrics is a branch of health care that involves the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired diseases of the central and peripheral nervous systems in children and adolescents. In history, as the medical care opportunities for severe neural injuries were minimal, children with brain damage were usually rejected and many of them died early from infections, inappropriate treatment, and neglect. Since the middle of the twentieth century, due to the development of neuropathology and advanced brain diagnostic tools, neural damage during childbirth was for the first time defined as the most fundamental cause of cerebral injury, bringing attention to the focus of brain damage. Since then, novel scientific approaches have made extraordinary improvements in the prevention, diagnosis, and therapy of infants and children with neural injuries. However, there are still major scientific, ethical, and therapeutic challenges for the future, especially in prenatal diagnosis, neonatology, intensive care, therapy, and more. This book offers comprehensive knowledge about the current state of the art in neuropediatrics, concentrating on the most significant evidence-based advances in this important field

Abstract: Dieser Sammelband widmet sich den römischen Epikern Lucan, Valerius Flaccus, Statius und Silius Italicus. The contributions examine the contrast between genre theory and practice, the interplay of genre interference and intertextuality, and the tension between convention and innovation. The focus is on the relationship of post-Augustan epic poetry to the earlier tradition, i.e. to authoritative predecessors such as Homer, Virgil and Ovid. The self-positioning of later poets in relation to the canon often goes hand in hand with an endeavour to reconfigure traditional elements: By omitting, varying or exaggerating aspects typical of the genre, their works enter into a dialogue with the earlier epics, permanently subverting the audience's horizons of expectation. The integration of non-genre discourses plays a central role here: modern literary concepts for analysing genre interference are critically evaluated in the anthology and incorporated into the interpretation in a reflective manner. The methodological range and innovative approaches in this volume make an important contribution to deepening and expanding the current state of research

Abstract: Millets are a group of small-seeded grasses that have been grown as food sources for humans and animals since ancient times. These crops are highly nutritious and have a range of health benefits. They are also highly adaptable to different growing conditions, making them an important crop for farmers in arid and drought-prone regions. Millets have been an integral part of the traditional diets of many cultures around the world and have gained renewed attention in recent years as a sustainable, low-input alternative to other cereal crops. Despite their many benefits, millets have been largely overlooked by modern industrial agriculture, and their cultivation and use have declined in many regions. There is a growing recognition of the need to promote and support the conservation and revival of millet cultivation as a key strategy to enhance food security and resilience in the face of climate change

Abstract: Gamma rays are positioned distinctively in the electromagnetic spectrum, characterized by energy over 100 keV and wavelengths less than 10 picometers. Paul Villard discovered them in 1900, and their ability to penetrate deeply was quickly recognized. The discovery of artificial radioactivity in 1934 by Irène Joliot-Curie and Frédéric Joliot significantly increased the availability of gamma-ray sources. This established the foundation for their extensive utilization. Currently, gamma rays are widely utilized in several fields of science, industry, medicine, and beyond. Notable uses encompass radionuclide exploration, radiation-based treatment of materials, sterilization of medical products, medical imaging, cancer therapy, and food sterilization through irradiation. Nevertheless, numerous applications are still being actively studied as researchers persist in discovering novel methods to utilize gamma rays in various fields. This book includes five chapters, each dedicated to elucidating recent advancements in applying gamma rays within a particular domain. The subjects addressed encompass a broad spectrum, including mineral discovery, crop development, insect management, and improvement of food quality. The chapters focus on innovative methodologies, methodological advancements, and practical obstacles to efficiently utilizing gamma rays. The chapters provide valuable insights informing readers about the advances in many application domains during the past decade. In general, the volume demonstrates the diverse usefulness of gamma rays in several scientific fields and technological endeavors. The statement underscores that despite being identified more than a century ago, gamma rays remain a dynamic study area with significant potential for present and future applications. This book will appeal to students, academics, and professionals looking to thoroughly examine the various uses of gamma rays in contemporary society

Abstract: Preaching, a practice composed of and accompanied by a myriad of different activities, is an essential element of Muslim religious life both within and beyond mosques. As such, Islamic preaching is a common means of religious promulgation and knowledge transfer, of pastoral guidance and uplift, but also of communication between believers, and as a source of negotiating religious normativity, power relations, and societal topics. Given the centrality of preaching in Muslims’ religious life, this collective volume presents contributions on various aspects of performance, text, space, and materiality of Islamic preaching in history and present. The interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary framework captures Islamic preaching as it unfolds in its social setting. The volume aims at representing the inner-Islamic diversity by depicting the practice of preaching as it came about in different times and geographical locations, shedding light onto Friday gatherings and sermons (ḫutba), and other forms of preaching (e. g. waʿẓ), be it during Ramadan, at religious feasts and commemorations, or on personal occasions such as weddings and funerals. Therefore, each chapter offers a different insight into the interwoven character of sermons’ contents, the preacher him/herself, and the audience by emphasising the role of their bodily performance, of the temporality and spatiality of preaching, and of the objects and items involved. ; Preaching, a practice composed of and accompanied by a myriad of different activities, is an essential element of Muslim religious life both within and beyond mosques. Abstract: Transcending the dialectic between appearance and reality, Euripides succeeded in giving human intelligibility to a new Helena, who never loved Paris nor fled with him. Menelaus' wife must vindicate to her newfound husband that she is the real Helena, quite different from the ghost that the hero brought with him from Troy. The volume analyzes the various resources of re-characterization of Helena in Euripides' tragedy.

Abstract: Gravitational waves were predicted by Albert Einstein in his most famous theory, the general theory of relativity, but it took almost a century for these waves to be detected and their existence proven. This book introduces gravitational waves and discusses some of their applications in five dimensions, this is all done in classical gravity. It also explains gravitational waves in quantum gravity (in which the universe is considered to be not continuous) and implications for trying to understand and explore dark energy and an expanding accelerated universe

Abstract: This book brings together scholarly contributions to question, model, and reshape translatology as the scientific discipline studying language translation. The chapters emphasize the hypothesis of a real domain of observability and objectivity through experimental and applied perspectives. The authors offer a balanced view of adequacy and coherence between the empirical and theoretical components of the book. The chapters include a good deal of individual language data from both source and target approaches, with a focus on typologically and culturally diverse spaces such as the African context. Domains of inquiry such as terminology and the cognitive dimension of the process exemplify the ability to create a dialogue between multidisciplinary intersections and translatological attempts of laws and generalizations

Abstract: Diverticulosis refers to an outpouching of colonic mucosa and submucosa outside of the intestinal lumen. It commonly occurs around the penetrating blood vessels. It can occur in any segment of the bowels; however, the sigmoid colon is the most affected segment. Diverticulosis (the presence of diverticula in the colon) remains asymptomatic in most individuals, but approximately 25% of people with diverticulosis will experience symptomatic diverticulosis, which is referred to as diverticular disease. In the past two decades, diverticular disease has become one of the most commonly diagnosed bowel disorders. It is seen across the globe and its incidence is high, especially in Western countries. It is estimated that in many developed countries around 50% of the population older than 50 years is affected by diverticular disease. It was once believed to be associated with increasing age, however, in recent studies, its prevalence in younger populations has increased. In about 10%–25% of patients with diverticulosis, the disease progresses and leads to diverticulitis. Many theories have been suggested for the different etiologies of diverticular disease, and the most common cause is believed to be a low-fiber diet. It is believed that diets low in fiber are associated with increased intracolonic pressure, which leads to diverticula formation. Diverticular disease can have variable clinical presentations. Most often it presents as abdominal pain or change in bowel habits and rectal bleeding. Its clinical picture can at times mimic inflammatory bowel disease or bowel malignancy. Its common sequelae include diverticulitis, perforation, and peri-colic abscess/phlegmon. The complications of diverticular disease include abscess, fistula, and bowel strictures. Small or localized collections can be managed with intravenous antibiotics and depending on the available resources, intervention radiology can also be used to manage such cases. CT scan is considered a more specific technique for diagnosis. It can also be used for reviewing the patient's progress to treatment, with serial scans over time. It is also used for treating some complications, such as performing percutaneous drainage of abdominal abscesses

Abstract: A dramatic increase in knowledge regarding the molecular biology of gliomas has been established over the past few years, and this has led to the development of novel therapeutic strategies for these patients. This book describes some improvements in the surgical management of gliomas, including segmentation of brain MRI images using 4D MRI volumes to help with the diagnosis and monitoring of patients. Another novel topic reviewed involves the applications of photosensitizers and their efficacy in the generation of anti-tumor responses in photodynamic therapy. A review of the application of nanoparticles and their ability to deliver drugs to the tumor site with a reduction in systemic toxicity is another developing therapy discussed. The book also describes novel approaches involving the development of the use of microRNAs, which are non-coding RNAs that can be used as tumor suppressors that potentially can be developed to control the growth of gliomas. The book examines a large number of molecular interactions of signals in gliomas, which should lead to biomarkers of potential importance that could be manipulated in the development of clinical trials. Molecular networks need to be better understood for the development of therapeutic strategies. Finally, the book reviews immunotherapeutic strategies potentially useful in treating brain tumors that involve either poxviruses engineered to secrete IL-15- or IL-2-secreting fibroblasts transfected with tumor DNA. The stimulation of the immune system to selectively attack malignant cells should lead to the prolongation of survival of brain tumor patients without a decline in cognitive functions or other side effects. It is hoped that this new information will lead to improved and efficacious treatment strategies for these challenging tumors

Abstract: Although many believe that unmanned aerial vehicles or drones are a recent invention, unmanned flight has a rich history that goes all the way back to ancient times. The first systems that can be specified under the modern definition of unmanned aerial vehicles or drones include reconnaissance drones developed and deployed during the Cold War period. Today, such systems have evolved and can have different designs. In the last twenty years, many drones with different aerodynamic characteristics, flight endurance, methods and places of launch and acceptance, and even more diverse purposes have been developed. The achievements of modern science, technique, and technology, especially in the field of microelectronics and control systems, have made it possible to design and manufacture drones that are capable of performing controllable flight in a wide range of altitudes, speeds, and distances while performing complex and diverse tasks with almost the same efficiency as well as manned aircraft. This book provides a comprehensive overview of drone technology and applications with chapters on the detection and classification of drones, issues related to electric unmanned aerial vehicles, integrating drones into educational curricula, and the uses of different types of drones in various situations, among other topics

Abstract: Nitrification and denitrification are essential processes for the aquatic ecological system and vital for human health. While ammonia is applied for disinfection together with chlorine to produce chloramine, excessive ammonia may cause nitrification and bacteria growth in the water transmission pipeline. Since excessive discharge may cause eutrophication and deterioration of the aquatic system, nitrate is regulated for wastewater discharge in sensitive areas. Further, nitrate needs to be monitored and controlled in drinking water treatment to protect against methemoglobinemia in bottle-fed infants. Various conventional technologies exist, such as adsorption, ion exchange, photocatalytic oxidation, air stripping, biological nitrification and denitrification, and so on, to remove nitrogenous compounds from water. Since ammonia and nitrate are important constituents in fertilizers besides phosphorus (P) and potassium (K), nutrient recovery is drawing attention to maintaining the supply of reliable and sustainable fertilizers. This book provides a comprehensive overview of nitrification and denitrification

Abstract: Wenn Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) Texte generieren kann, was sagt das darüber, was ein Text ist? Abstract: This book explores the interactions between private sector development, public policies and societal institutions with a strong view on contributing to sustainable and inclusive development in emerging countries. The private sector is often praised as an engine of economic growth. This belief has led to significant efforts to promote private sector development in emerging countries. Development agencies prioritize private sector development and national governments are following suit, resulting in often huge incentives to stimulate and attract private investment. However, private sector development is not a panacea for sustainable and inclusive development as the past decades have clearly shown. Economic growth, societal development and environmental sustainability are often in a sharp conflict; and more often than not economic growth has failed to improve the lives of all citizens. This book examines the role the state and the private sector should play to benefit from the dynamics of business development, while ensuring that these benefits are shared broadly without jeopardizing sustainability. The views presented differ in detail, but the analyses and case studies presented share common themes, namely that the relative roles of state and private sector of should be balanced and that this particular balance should be based on the context of each country in order to make the private-public sector interaction work for all people. ; This book explores the interactions between private sector development, public policies and societal institutions with a strong view on contributing to sustainable and inclusive development in emerging countries. Erste Studie zu einem vergessenen fotografischen Medium Vorgeschichte der Fototapete Ein bislang unbekanntes Kapitel der US-amerikanischen Kunst ; The photographic wall-mounted work, the so-called photomural, became an epitome of the USA’s national art in the 1930s; also as a counter-design to Mexican muralism. For the first time, Johanna Spanke analyzes the extent to which the rise of the photomural can be seen as emerging from a process of mediation between Mexico and the United States; one in which national identity constructs and discourses of modernity played a part, as well as negotiated competition between media. This publication makes an important contribution to perspectives on historical entanglements in U.S. art history, bringing to the fore intermedial and transnational debates, as well as gender-related factors. Abstract: In the recent cultural heritage boom, community-based and national identity projects are intertwined with interest in cultural tourism and sites of the memory of enslavement. Questions of historical guilt and present responsibility have become a source of social conflict, particularly in multicultural societies with an enslaving past. This became apparent in the context of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, when statues of enslavers and colonizers were toppled, controversial debates about streets and places named after them re-ignited, and the European Union apologized for slavery after the racist murder of George Floyd. Related debates focus on museums, on artworks acquired unjustly in societies under colonial rule, the question of whether and how museums should narrate the hidden past of enslavement and colonialism, including their own colonial origins with respect to narratives about presumed European supremacy, and the need to establish new monuments for the enslaved, their resistance, and abolitionists of African descent. In this volume, we address this dissonant cultural heritage in Europe, with a strong focus on the tangible remains of enslavement in the Atlantic space in the continent. This may concern, for instance, the residences of royal, noble, and bourgeois enslavers; charitable and cultural institutions, universities, banks, and insurance companies, financed by the traders and owners of enslaved Africans; merchants who dealt in sugar, coffee, and cotton; and the owners of factories who profited from exports to the African and Caribbean markets related to Atlantic slavery. ; In the recent cultural heritage boom, community-based and national identity projects are intertwined with interest in cultural tourism and sites of the memory of enslavement. Abstract: Chaos theory is an interdisciplinary area of scientific study and a branch of engineering focused on the law of dynamic systems. Even very accurate measurements of the current state of a chaotic system become useless indicators of where the system will be. Many approaches to nonlinear dynamics such as the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), phase-plane diagram, Poincaré map, bifurcation diagram, and Lyapunov exponent are used to detect and suppress the chaotic motion at different degrees of freedom. Chaos can help scientists explore the sudden transition from periodic motion to non-periodic motion at any dynamical system. There is a relationship between the finite element method and chaos analysis in which the dynamic quantity is increased with the increase of mesh generation. The refinement of element size in mesh generation affects the chaotic phenomenon Chaos theory has a wide variety of applications in engineering, such as robotics, and in medical fields, such as human gait locomotion. The dynamic description of the long-term behavior of any dynamical quantity is hard or impossible to predict. The three factors that affect chaos analysis are time delay, embedding dimensions, and the distribution of that dynamical quantity against time. Periodic, non-periodic motions, and chaos are used to describe the level of nonlinear dynamics. The vibrational signal of chaos might be continuous, discontinuous, solitons, and fractals. This book contains the method of chaos to detect the level of chaotic motion such as entropy, Lyapunov exponent, Poincare map, and phase-plane diagram

Abstract: Since the concept of evidence-based medicine was introduced into medical practice, a paradigm shift from conventional empirical-based physical therapy to evidence-based physical therapy has been promoted. In order to practice evidence-based physical therapy, the elements of "using evidence," "creating evidence," and "communicating evidence" are essential. However, these practical methods still need wide dissemination. As such, this book provides a comprehensive overview of evidence-based physical therapy. Chapters are organized into three sections: "Physical Therapy Theory", "Physical Therapy Assessment", and "Physical Therapy Practice". This book will help healthcare professionals establish evidence-based physical therapy and deliver optimal physical therapy to their patients

Abstract: From Theory of Knowledge Management to Practice is a collaborative compilation featuring contributions from various authors. The book amalgamates analytical principles with the practical aspects of knowledge management in the business realm. Its unique contribution lies in bridging the gap between engineering/technology disciplines and the organizational, administrative, and planning dimensions of knowledge management. This integration is particularly valuable when viewed in conjunction with other sub-disciplines like economics, finance, marketing, and decision and risk analysis, among others. The book not only introduces but also illustrates knowledge management theories through practical case studies. These case studies showcase significant outcomes across different sectors, drawing on diverse real-world scenarios. The theoretical framework is accompanied by relevant analytical techniques, adopting a progressive approach that transitions from basic concepts to intricate and dynamic decision-making processes involving multiple data points, including big data and extensive datasets. The integration of computational techniques, dynamic analysis, probabilistic methods, and mathematical optimization further enhances the book's utility, offering expert support for the analysis of multi-criteria decision-making problems characterized by specific constraints and requirements
