Many of the multiracial family organizations that exist across the United States developed socially, ideologically, and politically during the conservative Reagan years. While members of the Multiracial Movement differ widely in their political views, the concept of multiracialism has been taken up by conservative politicians in ways that are often inimical to the interests of traditionally defined minorities."     Abstract: Analyzes American Jewish baby boomers, focusing on the implications of their Jewish identity and identification for the collective American Jewish community. Begins with a demographic portrait of American Jewish baby boomers, drawing on the 1990 National Jewish Population Survey, then compares America's Jews with Protestant and Catholic baby boomers, as well as other ethnic groups. Presentation of detailed quantitative data is complimented by qualitative examinations of communal implications for Jewish continuity and the organized American Jewish community.
