    Abstract: Im Rahmen des Ehrengast-Programms der Frankfurter Buchmesse 2018 präsentiert die Ausstellung "Gold & Wein - Georgiens älteste Schätze" ein umfassendes Bild der frühen kulturellen Entwicklungen Georgiens vom Beginn der Landwirtschaft im Kaukasus ab 6000 v. Chr. bis zur Trialeti-Kultur der Mittelbronzezeit um 2100 -1700 v. Chr.0Der Kaukasus gilt seit jeher als Brücke der Kulturen. Georgien ist in dem in der Ausstellung behandelten Zeitraum mit den Kulturen Mesopotamiens als auch des nordpontischen Steppenraums sowie des Schwarzen Meeres verbunden. Der Fokus der Ausstellung liegt auf der Präsentation der neuesten archäologischen Forschungsergebnisse deutsch-georgischer Kooperationsprojekte, die mit zahlreichen, größtenteils erstmals gezeigten Originalfunden einer breiten Öffentlichkeit bekannt gemacht werden. Neben der Ausgrabung in der neolithischen Siedlung von Aruchlo mit charakteristischen Rundbauten und Artefakten aus der frühesten Ackerbaukultur und dem in Sakdrisi untersuchten ältesten Goldbergwerk der Welt, zählt der erst 2012 ausgegrabene bronzezeitlichen Grabhügel von Ananauri 3 mit seinem imposanten Holzwagen zu den Highlights.00Exhibition: Archäologisches Museum Frankfurt, Germany (06.10.2018 - 10.02.2019)
