Abstract: Machine learning is a branch of AI and computer science that focuses on the use of data to imitate the way humans learn and improve its accuracy. The course is divided into two parts. The first part starts with a brief history of how machine learning started and introduces you to the basics of statistical learning. You will also understand linear regression and classification, which is the logistic regression model. Understand what cross-validation, sampling, and Bootstrap are. Explore how to go beyond linearity; we will specifically look at a couple of interesting examples to improve the linear regression model to see if we can create models that are non-linear. The second part of the course is completely hands-on labs, which start with an example of predicting fuel efficiency in linear regression. We will then look at a lab on logistic regression with a little bit of mathematics behind it. Understand another lab session on random forests and do a review of decision trees as well. Next, we will look at a lab session on Eigenfaces by using Principle Component Analysis (PCA) and wrap up a course with a lab on ROC-AUC (Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve-Area Under Curve). By the end of the course, you would have given yourself the skills and confidence to start programming machine learning algorithms. What You Will Learn Learn the basics of statistical learning Understand linear regression, classification, and supervised learning Understand sampling and Bootstrap in machine learning Explore model selection and regularization Understand random forests and decision trees Explore labs on Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) and RNN Audience This course can be taken by beginners in Python programming, machine learning, and data science. Abstract: A step-by-step approach to documenting an ASP.NET Web API project from scratch with Swagger/OpenAPI About This Video Understand the steps involved in documenting API with multiple versions by creating one document Learn the process of documenting an ASP.NET Web API project from scratch Explore various approaches available for documenting a web API, such as XML comments, data annotations, and more In Detail ASP.NET Web API is one of the hot topics in the ASP.NET world and many companies use APIs to connect front-end and back-end functionality at a large scale. What is the key element in such integrations? You need to document your web APIs so that they can be understood easily by developers. In this course, you will be learning about web API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI concepts from scratch in this course. You will understand OpenAPI/Swagger and the need for documentation in web API. Learn the various approaches available for documenting a web API, including XML comments, data annotations, and so on. Also, we will use Swagger and Swagger UI tools from the OpenAPI community to create a rich API document. Then, create an OpenAPI document using Swashbuckle and NSwag in ASP.NET Web API. Learn how to use web API analyzers to guide you in including appropriate attributes for achieving complete documentation and web API conventions to automate and quickly document APIs with minimal effort. Next, understand the steps involved in documenting an API with multiple versions by creating one document per-version. By the end of this course, you will know how to document a web API project in ASP.NET Core using Swagger/OpenAPI from scratch. Audience This course is designed for backend web developers who want to build web services that are consumed by internal teams or external third-party teams. It is also useful for software architects who want to assist fellow developers to implement RESTful web API in their projects. For this course, one needs basic knowledge of building web API in ASP.NET Core and basic knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger specification.

Abstract: If you are already a C++ developer and want a quick and to-the-point refresher of the basics, this is the course for you. Master the basics of coding in C++ with hands-on practical lessons About This Video Get the fundamentals you need for your next C++ projects Understand what a reference is and how to use it Write OOP code with C++ and learn the best practices from the start In Detail C++ is considered as "hard to learn". Well, it's harder to learn than other languages such as Python or JavaScript, but in return, you get some huge advantages: you can code with one of the most powerful languages in the world, which opens many possibilities that are not available with other "less powerful" languages. In this course, you will learn C++ with four distinct levels. For each level, you get a quick introduction video to make the relation between various levels and explain what we are going to do and hands-on lessons to introduce new key concepts. At the end of the level, there are some exercises to practice on the key points of the section and combine the concepts together. Each level builds directly on top of the previous levels so make sure you do not skip any level. Here is a quick overview of the concepts you will discover (and practice on): Level 1: Write a program, variables, arrays, vectors, user input Level 2: Functions, scope, comments, namespaces Level 3: Conditions (if), for loops, while loops Level 4: References, prototypes, compilation from the terminal You will also have an extra bonus section on Object-Oriented Programming, which is common nowadays and will be a nice addition to your skill set. By the end of the course, you will understand how to organize your C++ code with .hpp and .cpp files and write OOP code with C++. Audience This course is for programming beginners who want to start learning C++ with a comprehensive and to-the-point course; for programming beginners who learned another language before and want to switch to C++; for anyone interested in working on video games, embedded software, robotics, artificial intelligence, operating systems, and so on.

Abstract: This comprehensive dictionary of the Jewish religion contains nearly 2,400 alphabetically arranged entries ranging from short definitions to lengthy essays on major topics. It is the most accessible and complete one-volume resource available for information on the concepts, beliefs, and practices of historical and contemporary Jewish religious practice. The combined effort of Israeli, American, and European scholars, this dictionary reflects the great variety of Jewish religious expression, from the traditional approaches to such recent variations as Reform, Conservative, and Reconstructionist Judaism. The work also includes biographical sketches of important personalities associated with the development of the Jewish religion over the centuries, articles on the mystical tradition and folklore, and entities addressing the more recent religious issues posed by the existence of the State of Israel

Abstract: Compared to other rich Western democracies, the United States historically has done less to help its citizens adapt to the uncertainties of life in a market economy. Nor does the immediate future seem to promise anything different. In Welfare As We Know It, Charles Noble offers a groundbreaking explanation of why America is so different, arguing that deeply rooted political factors, not public opinion, have limited what social reformers have been able to accomplish
Abstract: Drawing on state-of-the-art research in comparative politics, history, and sociology, the book's first two chapters demonstrate that decentralized political institutions, a weak labor movement, and racial conflict have loaded the dice against progressive reform in the United States. Four historical chapters, spanning the twentieth century from the Wilson to the Clinton Administrations, show how this inhospitable political environment has shackled proponents of public provision at critical junctures. In two provocative concluding chapters, Noble considers the future of U.S. social policy, contending that reformers who want government to do more must refocus their activities on political and institutional change, such as campaign finance and labor-law reform, if they hope to transform social policy

Abstract: Writing in a rigorous, thought-provoking style, the author takes us on a far-reaching tour through the philosophical ramifications of consciousness. Chalmers convincingly establishes that contemporary cognitive science and neuroscience do not begin to explain how subjective experience emerges from neural processes in the brain. He proposes that conscious experience must instead be understood in a new light - as an irreducible entity (like such physical properties as time, mass, and space) that exists at a fundamental level and cannot be understood as the sum of simpler physical parts. In the second half of the book, he sets out on a quest for a "fundamental theory"--A theory of the basic laws governing the structure and character of conscious experience - and shows how this reconception of the mind could lead us to a new science of consciousness
Abstract: What is consciousness? How do physical processes in the brain give rise to the subjective life of a conscious mind? These questions are among the most hotly debated issues in science and philosophy today. Now, in The Conscious Mind, philosopher David J. Chalmers offers a cogent analysis of this debate as he lays out a major new theory of consciousness, one that rejects the prevailing reductionist trend of science, but is still compatible with a scientific view of the world
