Abstract:
Die mittelalterliche Geschichte Stormarns begann mit der Christianisierung ab ca. 800 und endete in der Reformationszeit in der 2. Hälte des 16. Jahrhunderts. Aus diesem Zeitraum behandelt der Verfasser in gut lesbarer Form 5 Themenbereiche: nach einem historischen Abriß dieser "katholischen Zeit Nordelbiens" untersucht er Verlauf und Bedeutung des Limes Saxoniae, beschreibt Entstehung und Struktur der Kirchspiele im Stormarner Raum, widmet ein Kapitel dem Ritter Heyno Scharpenberg aus dem 14. Jahrhundert und beschließt den Band mit einer Darstellung der Vogtei Trittau. Im Anhang Münzeinheiten, Bibliographie, Register. Wissenschaftlich fundiert, aber für einen breiteren Leserkreis mit historischen Interessen geschrieben. (I. Hanewald)
