    Abstract: In vielen afrikanischen Gesellschaften werden Humor und scherzhafte Beleidigungen gezielt zur Harmonisierung und Stabilisierung zwischenmenschlicher Beziehungen eingesetzt. Diese Tradition der "afrikanischen Scherzbeziehungen" ist eine Form der paradoxen Kommunikation und Tabuverletzung zur Bewältigung sozialer Konflikte. Der Film handelt von Frauen in Senegambia, die keine Kinder bekommen oder sie nach der Geburt verlieren. Sie schließen sich sog. Kanyalang-Organisationen an, die sich über sich selbst und andere lustig machen, ohne dass irgendjemand beleidigt sein darf. Mit Lachen und Humor gewinnen sie für sich und ihre Umgebung Vergnügen und Entspannung und befreien sich langsam von dem psychischen und sozialen Druck, der auf ihnen als kinderlosen Frauen lastet. Viele bekommen schließlich doch noch Kinder, die am Leben bleiben.
    Abstract: In many African societies humor and joking insults are specifically used for harmonizing and stabilization of human relationships. This tradition of "African joking relationships" is a form of paradox communication and taboo breaking to cope with social conficts. The film shows women in Senegambia who bear no children or lost them after birth. They join so-called Kanyalang organizations who make fun of themselves and other people without anybody being offended. With laughter and humor they gain fun and emotional relief for themselves and others and gradually free themselves from the psychological and social pressure weighing on them as childless women. Many of them even bear and raise children later on in life.

Sie leben in Jehangirpuri, einer Arbeiterkolonie am Rande Delhis, sind jung und müssen sich in einer Welt rapiden Wandels durchschlagen: die Mädchen sind scheinbar sehr direkt, feste Jobs sind kaum zu bekommen, Sex ist eine Mischung aus Lust und schlechtem Gewissen, das Familieleben erdrückt und nur der plärrende Fernseher hat etwas Groove. Das Video ist Teil des "South Asian Masulinities Film Project".
    Abstract: When four friends meet they share their secrets with the camera: sex and girls; youthful dreams and failures; frustrations and triumphs. Bunty, Kamal, Sanjay and Sanju, best friends and residents of Jehangirpuri, a working class colony on the outskirts of Delhi, are young and trying to make their lives in an environment which is changing rapidly: girls seem to be very forthright, stable jobs are not easy to come by, sex is a mix of guilt and pleasure, families are claustrophobic and the blur of television the only sounding board. The video is part of the South Asian Masulinities Film Project.
