    Abstract: Am Karsamstag vor dem Frühgottesdienst entzündet der Mesner den von Jungen zusammengetragenen Holzstoß vor der Kirche. Nach der Feuerweihe durch den Priester entzündet der Mesner die Osterkerze, die in die Kirche getragen wird. Während des Gottesdienstes bringen die Buben Baumschwämme zum Glimmen und tragen das geweihte Osterfeuer in die einzelnen Häuser, in denen die Hausfrauen das neue Feuer entfachen.
    Abstract: Prior to the morning service on Saturday before Easter, the sexton lights woodpile gathered by boys in front of the church; following consecration of fire by priest, sexton lights Easter candle, which is carried into the church; during the service, boys bring tree moss to glow and carry the consecrated Easter fire to each house, where housewives light new fire.

    Abstract: Eine Gruppe von sieben frischbeschnittenen Tschokwe-Knaben übt unter begleitenden Trommelschlägen Tanzschritte für das Dorffest am Ende ihres Initiations-Buschlagers. Die einstudierten rhythmischen Bewegungen werden bei der öffentlichen Vorführung von den bemalten und besonders gekleideten Knaben als Gruppentänze und als einzeltänzerische Sequenzen gezeigt. Die tanzenden Jungen werden dabei von den übrigen Dorfbewohnern gefeiert und beschenkt.
    Abstract: A group of seven newly circumcised Tschokwe boys practises dancing steps accompanied by drum beats for the village feast at the end of their initiation bush camp. The specially dressed and painted boys show their trained rhythmical movements in a public performance in group dances and in solo sequences. The dancing boys are celebrated and receive presents from the other villagers.

    Abstract: Begleitet von Trommelschlägen, Rasseln und dem rhythmischen Klatschen der Zuschauer tanzen zwei Männer den Tschiheu-Maskentanz. Der Tanz der Tschihongo-Maske wird von einer einzelnen Person aufgeführt, die dabei mit den Zuschauern kommuniziert. Beim Tanz der Mwana-Pwo-Holzmaske imitiert der Tänzer eine weibliche Person. Weitere Tanzformen sind der Kreistanz der Frauen um eine Trommel und der Tanz einer Frauengruppe um eine kranke Frau, wodurch der in der Frau sitzende Dämon ausgetrieben werden soll.
    Abstract: Accompanied by drum beats, rattles and rhythmical clapping of the spectators two men dance the Tschiheu mask dance. The dance of the Tschihongo mask is performed by a single person communicating with the bystanders. The dancer of the Mwana Pwo wooden mask imitates a woman. Other dance formations are a women's circle dance around a drum and a women's group dance around a sick woman in order to drive out her demon.
