Abstract:
Erzbischof Saliba legt, während er seine Gebete spricht, das Heilige Gewand der Eucharistie (Schuhe, Chorhemd, Schärpe, Gürtel, Armstulpen, Kopf- und Schultertuch, Umhang, goldene Kette mit Kreuz) an. Dann wäscht er sich die Hände, nimmt ein goldenes Kreuz mit einem purpurnen Tuch in die rechte, den Bischofsstab in die linke Hand und entfernt sich.
Abstract:
The ceremony of dressing the Bishop is one of the old traditions of the Syrian Orthodox Church. Each piece of the Bishop's vestment and each act of the ceremony are of symbolic value. The dressing is accompanied by several prayers.
