Elvis, David Bowie, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, Frank Zappa, Madonna‑ the history of pop music is also always a history of stage performances. The Pop Concert as a Para-theatrical Form is the first systematic study to concern itself with this area of research. It deals with the foundations for understanding the particular aesthetics of the pop stage. Das Pop-Konzert als para-theatrale Form beschäftigt sich zum ersten Mal systematisch mit diesem Forschungsbereich. Vermittelt werden Grundlagen zum Verständnis der speziellen Ästhetik der Pop-Bühne. Anhand der wichtigsten Künstler und der Analyse ihrer Auftritte wird ein überblick über die Entwicklung bestimmter Figurentypen gegeben.
