Abstract:
Die ökologischen Herausforderungen zwingen vor allem die frühindustrialisierten Länder zu einer Nachhaltigkeitsrevolution. Dabei verwandelt sich der alte industrielle Klassenkonflikt in einen sozialökologischen Transformationskonflikt. Dieser erfasst, so die zentrale These des Bandes, mehr und mehr die Kernbereiche des deutschen Industrie- und Wirtschaftsmodells. Anhand des Braunkohleausstiegs in der Lausitz und den Umbrüchen im Wertschöpfungssystem Automobil wird gezeigt, wie sich ökologische und soziale Konfliktachsen gegeneinander verselbständigen. Soziale Unsicherheit und das Bemühen um Statuserhalt können zu einer subjektiven Quelle rechtspopulistischer Orientierungen werden.
