Das bunte Gewirk ausgewählter Texte aus der »Bernischen kantonalen Irrenanstalt Waldau« aus dem Zeitraum 1895-1936 ist die Grundlage dieser Studie, die den 'Schreib-Ort Waldau' ersichtlich werden lässt. Die plurilaterale Betrachtung umfasst so berühmte Patienten der Anstalt wie Adolf Wölfli, Friedrich Glauser und Robert Walser, aber auch Texte unbekannter Schreibender.
