The book. combines the experience of managers of large corporations and family businesses with a long history on the continent with the scientific perspective and findings of the Centre for Business and Technology in Africa at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences. In the 2nd edition up-to-date answers are given to the classic questions that must be answered by every player who wants to be economically successful in Africa: WHY Africa is interesting for business, WHERE the greatest prospects for success exist, HOW to proceed and WHICH approaches to shaping future economic relations between Germany and Africa are promising. The editors Prof. Dr. Thomas Schmidt is Founding Director of the Centre for Business and Technology in Africa and Professor at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences for Business Informatics. Prof. Dr. Kay Pfaffenberger is Managing Director of the Centre for Business and Technology in Africa and Professor at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences for Business Administration. Prof. Dr. Stefan Liebing is managing partner of Conjuncta GmbH and honorary consul of the Republic of Cameroon. He has extensive experience in business initiation and implementation in Africa and has accompanied numerous companies on their way into new markets.
