Through theoretical analysis and empirical insight, the individual chapters contribute to the defamiliarisation and decolonisation of core concepts and approaches to organizational inquiry, and offer positive alternative visions based on the assertion of indigenous knowledge. The book seeks to re-historicise the discipline and practice of management and organization studies with respect to the colonial encounter, and its lingering and changing forms. The assertion of indigenous forms of knowledge about management and organization is a central feature of Core-Periphery Relations and Organization Studies.
