In this ethnography, Daniel Goldstein explores the significance of street festivals & vigilante lynchings in the lives of people in Villa Pagador, a barrio on the edge of Cochabamba in Bolivia. He illustrates how marginalized urban migrants express theiridentity & frustration by means of public performance.
