Abstract:
"Questionnaire research by team of sociologists exploring attitudes of small farmers of Italian and German descent in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul finds correlation between traditional values (about family, etc.) and attitudes conducive to development. Concludes that strong religiosity, rather than Catholic or Protestant affiliation, correlates with prodevelopment outlook.
