American Multiculturalism after 9/11 presenteert een veelvoud van perspectieven en ontwikkelingen die elk verschillende stemmen en opinies aan het woord laten. Het debat over multiculturalisme heeft diepgaande culturele implicaties en kan hierdoor niet beperkt blijven tot het politieke domein, zoals blijkt uit lezing van uiteenlopende culturele teksten zoals romans, gedichten, monumenten, films en fotografie.
