Abstract:
Der Band enthält 12, überwiegend polit(olog)ische und ökonomische Beiträge zum Reizthema "Globalisierung", beginnen mit wichtigen, auch in der ZEIT bereits diskutierten Gedanken des Herausgebers zu "Wie wird Demokratie im Zeitalter der Globalisierung möglich?". Die weiteren Beiträge führen tief in die Kontroversen, ob es sich bei der Globalisierung um einen nur quantitativen oder auch qualitativen Wandel handle und wie damit - auch aus der Sicht des "Arbeiters" und/oder der nationalen Politik - umzugehen sei. Der Band ergänzt die Aufsatzsammlung "Perspektiven der Weltgesellschaft" (siehe in dieser Nr.). Beide Bände wurden von Beck in "Was ist Globalisierung?", einem SZ-"Sachbuch des Monats" Februar 1998 (BA 3/98), kritisch zusammengefaßt und ausgewertet. Ohne Register. (2) (Siegfried Lörcher)
