Abstract:
Alljährlich am Bartholomäustag (24. Aug.) findet der Zunfttag der Schäfer vom Schwarzwald, von der Alb, vom Oberland und vom mittleren Neckar in Markgröningen statt. Festzug zur Stadtkirche und nach dem Gottesdienst zum Festplatz. Wettlauf der Schäfer und Schäfermädchen; Krönung der Sieger; Schäferreigen; Hahnentanz; Wettlauf der Wasserträgerinnen.
Abstract:
Annually on Bartholomew's day (24th August), the guild day of the shepherds from Black Forest, Alb, Oberland and Middle Neckar takes place in Markgrönigen; following the church service, festival parade moves to th city church and the festival square; race of the shepherds and shepherd girls; crowning of the winners; shepherd's round dance; cockerel dance; race of the water bearers.
