| German | German Der Teig des Kommunionbrotes wird aus Weizenmehl, Salz, Wasser und Sauerteig zubereitet. Man wickelt ihn in ein Tuch und läßt ihn mehrere Stunden liegen. Nach der Gärung entfernt man die Kruste, formt die Brote und markiert sie mit einem Stempel. Anschließend werden die Brote gebacken. An den Arbeiten waren mehrere Männer an verschiedenen Orten beteiligt. |

Though the making of eucharist bread is not an essential part of Christian faith, it is of high symbolical value and occupies an important position in the spiritual and liturgical tradition of the Orient. The dough is made from flour, salt, water and leaven. |
