Lyrik ist ein alltägliches Phänomen in der gegenwärtigen Gesellschaft, das von Abzählreimen und Balladen bis zu Versen an Hauswänden reicht. Daniel Grummt arbeitet anhand dieser Beobachtung gezielt mit lyrischen Texten im Kontext von soziologischen Fragestellungen. Ziel ist es, das methodische Instrumentarium der sozialwissenschaftlichen Praxis sinnvoll zu erweitern und zu ergänzen. Eingebettet sind diese Überlegungen vor allem in eine soziologische Forschungstradition, die ihren Ausgangspunkt bei den Ideen und Schriften der Romantiker*innen nimmt.
