Von 2008 bis 2017 Leiter der Abteilung Kommunikationspsychologie am Institut für Kommunikationswissenschaft an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. 1998–2005 Gastprofessur für Kommunikations- und Sozialpsychologie an der Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck. Februar bis April 2004 Fellow am Bucerius Institut der Universität Haifa (Israel).
