    Content: The Delaware are a Native American group consisting of the Lenape, Munsee, and Jersies. The Delaware spoke an Algonquian language. Their aboriginal territory was in the vicinity of what is now known as the Delaware River in the states of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
