Es geht um die Differenzen und Gemeinsamkeiten, die sich auf Grund der unterschiedlichen historischen Bedingungen der Kultur unter Faschismus und Nationalsozialismus ergeben haben. Spezifisch wird zudem nach der Wirkung der italienischen Literatur im Nachkriegsdeutschland gefragt, wofür als Beispiel das Werk Malapartes steht, der einer der meistgelesenen italienischen Autoren nach 1945 gewesen ist
