Comprises 61 engravings in two series for the most part by Frédéric Brentel after La Ruelle and, for perspective, Jean La Hière. The first series consists of the so-called "dix grandes tables" (1a-b, 2-7, 8a-b, 9a-b, 10) preceded by the t.p., or t.p. and frontispiece, printed from two copper-plates, the latter signed Mathaeus Merian fecit. The second series consists of 48 oblong engravings depicting the funeral procession which were designed to form a continuous roll or as often found, to be grouped on larger sheets
